  1. And be ready to drop the sway bar. It gets in the way of dropping the pump. If you used a gasket sealer on the pump you'll probably have to have another gasket if it sticks and tears. A lot's on here about dropping the oil pump, a lot of helpful tricks.
  2. I had thought of running the hose through 1/2" section of PEX. Acid won't hurt plastic I'm guessing as it comes in plastic containers. EDITED FOR DYSLEXIC MIND a section of 1/2" PEX
  3. Is it a 240 pulley? Those marks are confusing. My mechanical timing was off a tooth on the cam sprocket so it ran best all with the distributor turned all the way clockwise. After all the hassle I had, if it runs good just try and quit thinking about it. I got fixated on the timing light lining up right with the pulley marks and wasted a lot of time. BUT, if you want to pull the distributor it should look like this at TDC,
  4. I've never changed a diaper but I imagine it'd be close to M Keaton's style.
  5. Thank you guys, that's what I'll do for now.
  6. Good "supplies" work wonders. A friend of mine bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. He was at a bike rally where it rained the whole time. He decided to set the camper off onto it's legs and drive his truck out from under it to go play. When he got back the camper had fallen over onto his shade tree. Insurance totaled it and paid him off, luckily. Too many "supplies" and not enough sense.
  7. I'd trust a foot of 5/16" hose and some solid fuel injection clamps until I restore the car.
  8. That's what he's staying in, the burnt camper, not the Memphis Hilton. :: :: :: :: :: :: :: ::
  9. A little high but they have cheaper ones too. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic08e02a01/40-2980
  10. Can I splice that section in or do I have to do the whole thing? It's a nice shade of green/grey everywhere else. Thanks, Cliff
  11. Well I'm thinking of a POR-15 product to seal this section, any other ideas besides new a line?
  12. Do the numbers on the very top's flat spot mean anything like a VIN number? The higher the number, the newer the transmission? I'm taking two to my transmission friend for him to look inside and tell me which one to use so it's more of a curiosity thing to me. The highest number The other one 4spd far left, highest 5spd then lower number 5spd far right Thanks for any replies, Cliff
  13. My '72 240s have the yellow 1 piece wheel chocks. '77 280 has orange collapsible ones.
  14. Nice pictures give me inspiration. Your pictures make me jealous. : )

  23. I messed up! The vent from the tank is the middle backside. One top hose goes to air filter housing, bottom hose goes to pcv tube. Sorry for the late EDIT
