  1. I've worked for 2 people, self centered narcissistic micro managers what's in it for me type for 35 years. I made a life improving decision to go to the corporate workforce and after two weeks I love it! When I leave I LEAVE. Nothing but family matters when I clock out now. They don't even know my phone number. I took a small pay cut but the nonexistent stress evens it out by way far. My beer and stress eating make up the difference plus some. Money is time don't jive anymore. How I spend my time is #1 now. So now my time is worth more than money to me as it should be to everyone else too. Smell the roses my friends.
  2. "Yup..." Classic answer from grannyknot. He's done it if it's been done.
  3. That wasn't a good choice for "The Thinker", hindsight is a bitch. Looks more like me sitting on the toilet. The "stinker".
  4. There's a bcdd hole in front of the throttle blade that has to be filled or blocked to stop the ported vacuum. Here's something I found real quick. @Captain Obvious is the thinker that helped me.
  5. Read through this and see if it answers some questions. I'm about to leave out for the night but will check back in the morning. https://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/tempsensorpot/index.html
  6. I'm thinking the coolant temp sensor not being in play has your ecu thinking it's cold all the time and adding more fuel.
  7. Sorry I can't help with the question but I sure am glad you're okay and checking in on us Bob! Cliif
  8. I guess any type of short steel would work, re-bar or a socket extension comes to mind. The female end would fit on the fin then tap it off with a hammer.
  9. there's some email addresses at the bottom of the thread starter, Paulo Sierra. https://clubsciontc.com/forums/sponsored-sales/fIeVx5TDZvSq/c12-carbon-complete-line-of-carbon-fiber-products?page=1
  10. A flat head screwdriver and a hammer worked for me. https://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/gastank/index.htm
  11. I pull the vacuum advance hose off the distributor and pug it with a golf tee. From my experience these cars run good with more advance. I have my distributor turned all the way, max advance. One off smarter members, @zKars, even made a plate allowing farther advance.
  12. EDIT: After looking over the spreadsheet I realized I told you wrong. Sorry and you'll see my mistakes if you look at the sheet. I have that timing light too. After setting the timing I mostly use it for the engine RPMs now. It puts a tach outside the cabin which is very useful when you get to fine tuning. You can also do total advance timing with it. My car has two 17 weights in the distributor so you double that to 34 then run the motor up to to 3,500rpm and the light will read 0 when it's at max advance. I have an excel spreadsheet on my laptop with all the distributors and their info. Thank you for doing that @Walter Moore I found it. Post #3.
  13. Here's a good read... And my setup with the tools and the "crossing them off" board I put under the passenger's wiper blade.
  14. It's a great ID. I love the blues! I always wanted to open a bar, yes a drunkard with his own bar, but I realized as I grew older how stupid I am. My bar would be named "Elbert Bellew's". Great looking car mr bluez. Welcome to our forum, you'll like it here. The members are super smart mostly and very friendly. We like to help! Pictures, pictures pictures... Cliff
  15. I would take it to a muffler shop that's been around awhile. They could move that over enough to get it off the rod somehow I think, my local shop would figure something out. Probably break the welds though.
  16. I found my old thread from I did this. You may be better off turning the mix knobs down and looking at the fuel level under the dome. I have an extra set mounted to a wall and adjust the floats there then transfer the float and lid assembly to the pair on my car. So if yours are in your car try this first. Post #7
  17. I got mine at Lowes. Seems like it's 3/16" maybe?, 1/8th"? Take something with you to compare it to like a golf tee or a nail. It's on a roll in plumbing and you buy it by the foot. 2ft would be plenty I think.
  18. I put mine parallel with the car where the A arms meet the frame. Fits right down in the tops of my stands and the wheels hang free.
  19. Where's my .02$ in a good thread of @Reptoid Overlords. Captains EGR theory is in post #3.
  20. Yeah, me too. Can't hide under those hoods forever. I love my Zs but their not all beholding. I like this forum and it's members as much as the cars especially during this mess we're in now. "Safer at home" isn't for a social person like me. It was fun for a year but now, not so much.
  21. That's what I've always said, "beer's not drinking"! The cops don't agree with us either.
  22. I spend about $75 a week. Some weeks I gotta stay straight to help out my Mom so I estimate $3,500 a year. Damn that is crazy. That's what I spend on food.
  23. Let them kind go!
  24. I've gone a week with no alcohol, beer for me. I quit vodka about 9am New Year's morning 2006. Girls and drugs all over the place and I wanted to go to sleep, alone. Anyhow this past week I've gotten so much stuff done I may try this a little longer. It is football season and I'm an Alabama guy so maybe Saturday's only? Thank you both for ringing my bell.
