Welcome to the forum. Removing all those vacuum lines for efi to work to run SUs that only need a couple would be a challenge. The vacuum advace nipple on the front carb comes to mind for me. Then the '77 carbon canister and using the '77 fuel tank. There's a lot to do I've read. I have a '77 and want to put a spare set of SUs on there myself but it runs good so I'm not able to open that can of worms right now. Anyway, here's a thread you might could read over and get that lightbulb in your head idea. Good luck with it and you'll get some replies, mostly questions I bet.- Starting Carb Conversion: Flat Tops to Paltechs
It's been awhile but the airflow sync I use to balance air flow I turned #10 screws on my '72 SUs. That spring loaded screw you're missing keeps the linkage tight and snug for butterfly respose. It's not really used to balance them but keeps them responsive to your foot on the pedal. I would watch a few YouTube videos. There's some pretty good ones now. Good luck.- Starting Carb Conversion: Flat Tops to Paltechs
I think that missing screw is what adjust the throttle plates. As in your 2nd sentence, #13 on the diagram. I always unhook that top plastic marble to release the linkage during adjusting. Closest to #8. Here's the spring loaded screw you need. Probably easiest to get one at motorcycle shop. They're on bike carbs.- Why this forum is unique
A very good friend put a familiar face to that flaw. It helped me learn to move on without going down to their level.- Cabin heater RAISES temperature gauge?
I had an overcharging alternator in my 240 a few years back. The glass fuses under the radio would get too hot to touch. Maybe you could figure out which fuse associates with the heater fan and give a touch next time? Could be as simple as a new fuse.- COVID-19
This happened Monday night after the CFP win. Our future leaders. Thousands of Alabama Crimson Tide fans gathered together at the at Tuscaloosa's Strip to celebrate their team's 18th National Championship title on Monday night. Videos and photos captured several fans flooding the streets of Alabama less than a few hours after the Tide recorded a 52-4 victory over Ohio State at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The celebrations took place amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in the state of Alabama, which has reportedly seen a 30% increase in the last 14 days at an average of 4,272 cases per day.- saturday night music thread

The first dog of my adult life (35 years old!) I named Jelly. All the older people in my life used to sing "jam up and jelly tight" when I said her name. had no idea what they were referring to until this morning at work listening to the oldies station we have on at the restaurant PA system. Ran back to the office to see the title and who sang it. It's called bubble gum music apparently???????- Series 1 Gas tank install questions...
This thread was very helpful when I did my tank and vent lines. It starts off the exact opposite of what we need to know but turns very informative later on. Plenty of pictures too. Edit: maybe that wasn't it! this shows the passenger's side shield and explains the fill hose better... http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/gastank/index.htm here's another good one...- Z's on BAT and other places collection
He'll get $45K I think, maybe $50. It's a RHD in the big money area of California. Some kid will end up with it.- Why this forum is unique
Seems like he posted on zcar.com a lot too back when I first got back into Zs. Him and some guy from Chattanooga I think were disenchanted with helping people. They were just stroking their egos.- Help With Head Rebuilding/Cam Choices
I'll add my best bag for the buck was an aluminum flywheel. It is a Tifton or Tilton or something close but at 10lbs that little motor tachs out fast through the first 3 gears. Never tried 4th and 5th. You can have the OE flywheel lightened at a machine shop, if I recall right somewhere between 15 and 20 lbs?- Looking for helper
I would add "SE Texas" to the thread's title, if you still can. I think they have an EDIT time out? Good luck, sounds fun.- Help With Head Rebuilding/Cam Choices
Whoa! I messed up. It is a stage 3 on MSA's page. Sorry about that. Welcome to the party. MSA uses Schneider's cam kits and they're stage I is closer to the grind you are talking about. https://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/classic12e03 here's Schneider's page and it looks like their grind #270-80F http://schneidercams.com/dastsunL6_NA.aspx I have one on a shelf in my spare bedroom. I thought I wanted to go faster but after a rebuild and the stock E88 head's performance I am happy just driving it as is. Too many police around here and I have the only bright orange 240Z in the county so they already know me and where I live. Every time I get gas somebody asked to look at it and a lot of times it's the police who are interested in talking. The premature wear you've heard of happens on they're new cam billets from all I read before ordering mine. You have to send in a original Japanese core with "E30" stamped on there. Like this... If you do buy that cam make sure it has this stamp, in my opinion, or I wouldn't trust it. On a break from work so I can't say much more but glad you found this forum and all the help you can stand from these guys.- Why this forum is unique

My '72 had them. Bumperettes, the vertical "boots". You may be thinking of the over riders. The bars on top of the bumpers? That may be a '73 thing?- Why this forum is unique
Me too! All my responses were search the the archives. They'd type more crap scolding me than a simple answer to my question. That's what brought me to classiczcars.com and I've been wrapped in with kindness ever since. Why waste time typing hateful responses to search myself instead of simply saying the firing order, 153624?- tranny removal

The guy I work for here in Gadsden is from Anniston. His family has had bbq restaurants since the 60s. The Goal Post was the first now they have Betty's BBQ. I work at Pruetts BBQ. Not familiar with the pizza shop you're speaking of because I always eat for free at Betty's. I'm 40 minutes north, up hwy 431. What's the name of the pie slingers place?- .01 Ring with Standard Piston
Okay, you got me now. If Anniston is considered huge you are isolated. - 280z efi to carburetor problems
