  1. I had a hard to figure out problem with a '77 I'd bought. After a month or so I read about a recall on those with egr. My egr tube had come loose under the intake manifold where it connects to the egr tunnel. No telling how long it had been like that but it had rotted out a hole as big as a golf ball under there. Take a handheld mirror and look under the manifold close to the windshield end. Happen to me so it's a possibility. Good luck.
  2. Won't the overfill come out through the vent anyhow? He'll know it's full when there's a puddle.
  3. Dr Dave did you use a bench mount buffer with the paste? Thank you.
  4. Mine is twisted all the way counter clockwise, I think like you're saying with the tighten down bolt on the right. That's full advance to me. They run good at full advance IMHO. Check the plugs after driving it for awhile. Good luck!
  5. When my clutches drop like that it's usually the slave cylinder. Nissan pickups, BMW 325 and an old ZX are my only experiences. No warning either, just dead pedal. Crank them over in gear to get off the roadway
  6. Sale 1 Pontiac for $400 then buy twenty $20 car covers.

  12. I apologize. I meant read empty sooner. I've had a mind melt down over the past few days.
  13. Simple choice for normal people. Not too clear for sadistic minds.
  14. R=reverse. D=forward.
  15. I had a kitty once that loved to pull at the threads on my car cover. She was good at keeping the varmits out of my engine bay though. Now I have a black snake. Maybe he ate the kitty? Circle of life.
  16. I'm learning more about my buddy Zed Head! Farm animals.
  17. I agree with Steve. If you bend it down, more toward the bottom of the tank you'll get an empty reading much sooner. This is not a Z tank but for you to get an understanding of what I'm saying.
  18. Mine are connected via hoses to the air filter housing. I wouldn't leave them open if it were mine. Fuel could overflow or spill out with aggressive driving. But they can not vent if capped off. What type air cleaner are you using? Best image I could find with my phone.
  19. Those nuts with lock washers??? Waste of money. Conical, one use nut in my opinion, is the only way.
  20. I agree! Drs want to use blood thinners. We don't need no stinking blood thinners!
  21. Thanks Steve! I could've DM'd I know but he's a busy guy. We can't let him him buy another CRV Honda. He may go to the dark side. Thanks again. I will sleep well tonight.
  22. Maybe I've missed a post? Where's my friend? @240260280
  23. Stud size vs nut size is all I can figure for your difference. This is from Tom monroe's rebuild book, the bible.
  24. Mine is so thin it looks more like a "smoother outter" for adjusting the nozzle while turning. A base as you say. Thank you Jim!
