  1. I purchased a set of twice pipes exhaust system from Motorsport Auto for my 260z. I installed them and they looked and sounded great. The problem I had is that my Z is lowered so much there wasn't enough clearance for me to drive out my driveway. I managed to go out the driveway at an angle and drove it around the block once to see how it sounded, etc. I thought about raising my Z but after weighing the costs, I just put my old exhaust back on. I paid $170 for the exhaust system. I am open to offers and trades. If you have Z stuff worth more, I could add cash on my end. Hit me up. I don't expect to get full value on a cash deal, so make an offer.
  2. It's a 79. At first I wasn't sure about the rear window style but it has grown on me. Also it's nice they put a glove box in the later years and better seats, etc. They made them more of a daily driver than a race car, which is good unless you plan on not driving it regularly.
  3. This is all I have in my garage right now. Two projects at once is all I can handle, with my money or time. Everyone kept saying the Z was a "poor man's corvette". I thought I would check out a vette for once. It's definitely faster but it feels more like a muscle car than a sports car. The Z is my favorite and much more fun to drive. It also doesn't drink as much fuel, so I can enjoy it more. I'll be selling the Corvette as soon as I get done getting it cherry. I want to get another Z to replace it. Possibly a 350 or 370Z.
  4. I removed my P90 head off my 1974 260z (N42) and I installed a polished E88, with performance cam, to raise the compression. Tomorrow I'm installing the ceramic coated 3-2 header and rebuilding my dual webers. Hopefully it will work nice with my 4.10 rear gears and 5 speed trans. This is how I'm spending my two week Christmas vacation. I hope to get everything completed before I go back to work.
  5. No, the lengine one is much, much easier and adds the details automatically. It works great. I use it all the time.
  6. I know this is an old post but I thought this might be a helpful tool to use for determining which head to use and figuring out your compression. lengine.zip
  7. It looks pretty clean but definetly not worth that kind of money. You can get a "Nissan" restoration for that.
