I'm waiting for my Chilton's book to arrive. I know I'm asking to much but is the CSV located? Near the front of the engine?

I looked to where the hose was laying but couldn't find where/what it connected to. It was laying across the fuel rail. I haven't even touch any hoses. Does anyone know where/what the purge hose connects/goes to?

I just ordered one and I wanted to know if these books show you how & where all the wires & hoses should be? I'm having problems stating my Z and I see alot of wires that look like they had been connected but to what I don't know. I have a wire w/o a connecter on the end of it that's grounded to the frame near the AFM. I have a hose coming from the purge valve off of the canister that's not connected to anything. I sure it goes somewhere....If anybody is in the MD, DC area that doesn't mind stopping thru just to look over it, I'd appreciate it. If so, send me an email and we can go from there.....I live near a Z shop in Upper Marlboro but I can't get it started to get there.....

I have 3 wires that bolt with the NEG cable to the battery. Should this be on the POS cable instead? There is a wire on the POS cable but there's nothing on it. I bought it like that. The same goes for the NEG cable. I think it's there if you wanted to use it for a radio or something. I have a fuse link near the fuse box. It's connected but to what I don't know. It has a fuse inside a small capsule near the fuse box. I can't wait until the clock moves forward. It will give me more daylight during the week to work on this car. My only times are the wknds. By time I get home from work it's almost completely dark outside.

Can these cause your Z not to turnover? I know your car can stall or cutoff if these are not stableand/or disconnect while driving. . I changed these ( 75 only have 2 ) last AUG. I checked the coil, dist wires, battery cables. Those are ok...It's getting gas to & thru the fuel filter. The car has been sitting since late summer 2002. It was driving before I bought then.

How long does it take for your pics to be approved for showing?

I went back out this mrng & checked my coil. I switched around the 2 pos & neg wires on it just to make sure I didn't cross them up. The same thing happened. I switched them back again & the same things. I also checked the black box thats attached to the fender near the coil to make sure the wires inside were connected and they were. I made sure the distr wire going to the coil was on. Same ole thing. I also check the white bar that's under the coil were the neg & pos wires come from. They were ok but I noticed that one of the connecteors next to the others, it had a wire going to it but nothing connected coming from it. Just to recap, The car will turnover and the RPM will go up to 1500 & jusy cutoff never to idle. Then when I go to start it back up it will just try to turnover. Will will let it sitr for about 5 mins and it will just repeat the steps.......I honestly think that a wire or connection is the problem but i really don't know.

Well, my ground wire goes to the back of my starter where it bolts in. I did just change my Ign coil last week & I may have crossed the neg & pos connectors on the coil. Honestly, I wasn't able to start the car then cuz of my bad battery. Hopefully this is the prob. These Z's are very fragile when it comes to wires & connections.

I Bought a new battery today cuz the new one I bought in Oct went bad. When I start it, it will turnover & the RPM will goto 1500 then the engine will just die/cutoff. It won't stay on. When I try to start it back up, it will just try to turnover but won't. I'll let it sit for about 5 mins, then it will repeat the same thing over & over again. My buddy said he thinks that the fuel inj's aren't firing. It will get that initial burst of fuel then but it will not stay on. Fuel is getting to the injector's. We're getting good sparks. One more thing, Which battery post should the wires that come out from the wall connect to? One of them is already grounded to the wall. Is it NEG or Pos..
