    Try monthly! www.zcarclubq.org.au
  2. There were a few places in Melbourne quoting me $1250-$1500 including all parts and a warranty - if that gives you a ballpark.

The Queensland Z Car Club is running it's annual "Luv a Coffee" run this Sunday April 17. Start is at the Roma Street Parklands (UBD Map 159 Ref K3)at 7am. The cruise will wind it's way around a mystery course (to be announced on the day) and will end up at Luv-a-Coffee in Springwood for much needed caffeine and breakfast. I encourage those who can to come - last year we had 40 or so cars attend. If your Z / K (whatever!!!) is not on the road you can always attend in your "other" car - just be prepared to explain why you're driving the inferior one!! I am coming up from the Gold Coast, so I don't want to hear excuses from people coming from the South! If interested parties could post that would be appreciated.

i've seen the car, but I've decided not to buy it. If anyone wants a Prince skyline with a turbo RB motor in it, PM me and I'll put you in touch with the guy. I think you are right about parts availability though. These cars make z spares look damn easy to get, even the chrome rimmed headlight covers!!

Anyone know what these are worth in Australia now? I might have stumbled across one... ..quick response appreciated as I might buy it!!

I've just bought the real thing. I can't see why the copper would react, but then again, I'm no chemist. At least having the proper hose prevents embrittlement in the future..

I actually made the u-bend out of a bent piece of copper pipe, but it has started to leak where I've attached the hose to it. I could probably stuff around and re-bodge the bodge, but it's a pain in the butt dropping the tank and I'd prefer to only do it one more time and do it properly. Thanks for the picture though, it'll come in handy..

I have an Aussie 73 240z which I believe is similar to the early US z's when it comes to the fuel tank vent hose. It sorta looks like a walking stick... Does anyone know where to get these and how much they are? I've checked VB and the catalogue doesn't have them in it. MSA's site has no pictures. Help, I'm p*ssing fuel everywhere!!

  11. What a shocker..
  12. Thanks 26th-Z! I'll go check it out..
  13. Still undecided whether I like those 180sx's with the s30 fronts. Regardless, that's only about $4,100 Aussie.... Anyone know if those conversions are a fibreglass kit, or are they made from z parts (ie metal bonnet etc etc)?? Would be a bit of fun to have one, particularly if you put the chrome headlight covers and watanabe's on it..

What brakes are you thinking of using??

I heard once that the 280zx grilles had another core when compared to 240 version. Maybe it might be worth coverting to 280zx considering how warm the weather is at the moment? Apparently the bolt holes on the zx one have to be lengthened for it to fit a z - I wonder if this would be the same for a k? Just an idea..

Rick, Some joker is trying to sell one on ebay: 280zx

Look in my gallery, I have them on my car.

For the aussies: Crazy Clarks has 280zx models for about $5 complete with pull-back motor. They're pretty cool as they're more a "cartoon" style than a true representation of the original car. They also have TR4's etc etc..
  19. I'm on the GC, own a 73 240z and can show you how it goes back together. PM me and we can meet up and I'll show you
  20. A few I've seen have actually had the console modified so it at least looks like the Ferrari one. I wonder if it still has Datsun on the glovebox lid? ..and where are the leather seats? Shame there's no picture of the motor. I wonder if the original had press studs for the soft top??

Could you post a picture(s) of your system Carl?
  22. Gee replied to Gee's post in a topic in Interior
Carl, Thanks so much for your input on this subject, your long (and detailed) reply is very much appreciated. It appears that there is a dealership here in Australia that sells the Vintage Air components. Sadly, they're about 2,500 kilometres away, but maybe I can order the parts and get someone to install it for me up here. The ability to make the car APPEAR stock would be important to me, so keeping the unit in the glovebox wouldn't be a problem. The dash really does have to come out soon in order to be recovered, so no doubt this would be the opportune time to install any aircon system. I have one other question for you though, does the cold air actually come out of the eyeball vents, or does it just blast out of a box onto your feet? Gareth.

It's almost getting to the point where I buy a 260z to drive on hot days! I've seen the Courtesy Nissan kit. I wonder how good that is..
  24. Try; Challenge Fibreglass 525 Burke Rd Hawthorn East 3123 (03) 9822 2998 The front style I know they have is the ducted BRE front spoiler. They also have the rear lip spoilers. Otherwise I guess there's all the usual Z places.
  25. I think there's been a few threads about this. There's a place in melbourne called Challenge Fibreglass that does them.
