Any Americans out there who've done it??

Air-con in a 240
I think I spoke to that guy. He got the last kit off Lyndsay at z spares... doh! What is his name on this forum? I wouldn't mind finding out how it's holding up..

Air-con in a 240
So apart from all the under bonnet stuff, the only "plumbing in" behind the dash is into the blower motor?

Air-con in a 240
Has anyone here retro-fitted airconditioning to their z? What was your opinion about the way it looked / operated? Can you use most of the parts from a 260 to do it? Any info appreciated..

My '71 after about a zillion hours of polishing.
Looks great! I especially like the 70's style white lettering on the tyres. I have the same mag wheels as you. Professionally polished they come up really well - far better than I could have ever done by hand.

classic cars magazine article
Alfa GTV vs BMW 2002 Tii vs Ford Capri vs 240z for the car that most epitomised "the 70's"... and yes, Goertz was eluded to as being part of the design team.

All Z's drag! Clarkson video
That was great! I wonder what the 260 REALLY had under the bonnet though!

Side of 240z
I've done a bit of work recently and I thought I'd show how the car looks now. Respray, polished rims, bullet mirror etc. Still tempted to put spoiler on, but I'm unsure..

Search for how to tune your car, there's been plenty of posts on this topic.

Japanese Q/A sticker?
My red interior trim had those "stamps" on the back and were clearly red on both sides. I would think that the panels with different colours were more than likely sprayed by past owners who preferred another colour, say black to white?? There's been more than enough posts on this website alone asking how to change the interior colour of a particular car.

Color Choice
I've seen some gunmetal grey ones, they look sensational. Same with some of those midnight blue colours. The pictures of Moyest's car doesn't give a good indication of the real shade - it's more of a burgundy and has very little orange in it. I know house of kolor have a great red... There was a thread about 6 months ago about paint schemes and someone posted a whole stack of colours. Have a look through the archive (and the gallery) I'm sure people will be happy to tell you their paint colour if you like it!

MSA Speaker Box and more- Cheap
Now it's out of the car is there any chance you could post the dimensions so we Australians can fabricate our own? The cost of postage for this kind of thing makes it impractical for us to order!!

Screen Names - Where Do They Come From?
My reals names' Gareth, but all my friends call me G. When selecting my ID, the system wouldn't let me just use the letter so I had to spell it phonetically. Sorry it's not as exciting as other people's ID's!

rear tail lamp question
Could someone tell me the specifications of the rear tail lamp screws for a 240z (the long ones which hold the tail lamp it to the bodywork)? I seem to have lost mine

An Offer on my Z
I think it really depends on how much the person has offered. If it's fair market value and you love the car then I'd say don't... you'll probably regret it. Then again, if the person is prepared to pay WAY over what it's really worth, then why not? If it's enough to recreate the car and then some, surely you could rebuild it better and iron out the bugs, do an RB swap instead (or whatever takes your fancy). You say you could buy a fastback Mustang. A decent one of those must be $30-40,000 Australian right? G

Process of elimination - Ignition. Help!
Walk into an auto elec. Tell them you think your coil is stuffed and that if they'll let you try putting one of their coils in your car and it works, you'll buy the coil off them. You might pay a little more than normal, but you won't waste money if it isn't the coil!!

73 2 door coupe on ebay
They look like dealer plates on the back, so you're probably right. A bit tight selling a workshop manual separately though.. (in his history). Still, it's cheap for what appears to be a straight car. It'd look a lot better with mags..
