240Z on Ebay Australia
That's been on ebay before. Like you'd buy a car on the basis of one photo..
-
Another source of parts.
The spoilers are 1/2 the price from Challenge fibreglass in Camberwell (also in Victoria).

What are you paying for gas?
An interesting aside is to equate today's prices with the 70's - the very heyday of our beloved cars. Try US$80+ a barrel..ugh.

You guys rock! Problem fixed. Ego ruined. Thanks again. Gareth

Door locks
I think it's done more than that. I've tried closing the door and I've also tried different variations of having the button in the locked or unlocked position. :stupid:

Door locks
I just did something really stupid. :stupid: In order to see how the door lock works I pushed the swivelling part on the door around. Now the bloody thing won't close and it's stuck in the wrong position. I understand that the "knob" on the swivelling bit must face the door with the bigger knob facing the ground. It doesn't now. I've taken the door trim off to have a look but can't figure out what's wrong. Anyone been silly enough to do this, or know how I might fix it??!?! I can't close the door now!!!!!!

I have the VB catalogue and want a whole load of stuff including a heater knob (which is not in the catalogue). Ringing them is proving difficult from Oz, and faxing them is impossible (for me). Therefore I would have thought they'd have an email. I would have just got the part number from them and included it in the rest of the order. The MSA website has a little bit of stuff ,but it's far from comprehensive. I was wondering that since they .pdf their sale catalogues, why not do the same for the "normal" catalogues. Sorry for the confusion.

Interested in rare c110 parts
Speak to Lachlan (Alfadog), he has sourced various bits and pieces from Japan.

Thanks guys. I wanted the heater knob as only one little part of a reasonable size order of stuff, so it's a pain they don't have them as they have everything else!! I think it's quite strange they don't have email but they encourage postal / fax / phone orders. ..and MSA don't have an online catalogue. I find this surprising. Do these people want to do business? They must have "soft copies" of the order booklets and it wouldn't cost them anything to make them available online. :stupid:

All i need is a part number / price for one tiny little heater knob!!

Shock Horror, Wheel nuts
Go ask the bloke at MAG-IT in Southport, he might know. They have a lot of old wheels there. There's always zshop in Melbourne, that bloke in Sydney.. etc etc.

Thanks Stephen! There's something I want that's not in the catalogue. How do they compare against MSA? I'm not really prepared to spend $10 to get their catalogue and find out they're more expensive.. why don't they .pdf it for god's sake?? I'd say they'd do MORE business that way..

Does anyone have an email for Victoria British? Contacting them by phone has proved difficult from Australia..

240K Leather Interior
I was told that there is a difference between car upholstery leather and "normal" leather. Whether or not this is true, I dunno. Someone in the trade should know..

240K Leather Interior
I believe leather is measured in the amount of hides you have to use. To do the 2 z seats in my car it was 2 hides, or about $600 - that includes all labour etc. Interesting concept doing a K in leather. You could always go the works z racing seats look .. that would look great in a K.

Serial numbers on engine tell year?
It will only give you a rough idea. I have a serial number on the bodywork that has a higher no than a friends car, but he has a higher engine number than me.

I've been thinking about the whole stroker idea too. Courtesy parts have a kit: Stroker for USD $1269.00. I THINK I read that if you are an IZCC member you get 25% discount, at an exchange rate of 0.70c that's about $1,360 plus postage etc. The upside is that everything would be new. Group buy??

I'd say the only way you could sell the Pulsar, buy a zed and have money left over for a deposit on a house would be to buy a 2+2 or a rusty sh*tbox.. unless you are very lucky. There was a $15,000 240z for sale on carpoint the other day, it was there for a week and is already gone. Good luck though.
