  1. If anyone has the pic and could post it, I would appreciate it.

Looks like someone put the wrong part in the box or mislabeled the box. I did the same exact swap and my calipers look like the one on the left. I've never heard of a parts change for that year but it's possible. I'd return it for a matching part.

    Pics would help.
  4. I'm gonna have to watch this thead because if it goes on long enough I'd be in for a classic set. I just dropped 9 bills on a new set of SpeedHut gauges and the wife would kill me...
  5. Yeah, I just ordered one too the other day. My speedo is off significantly because of the wheel/tire change and I figured this would be easier than trying to change out the speedo gear since I plan on another tire size change in the future. I was swapping out other gauges anyway so I figured this was the best option. If anyone else is using one I'd like to hear your impressions on how well it has actually worked out for you.
  6. Oddjob on HybridZ had a custom replacement made for about the same cost as a remanufactured tank from Zcarsource. It's worth a view... http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/96955-a-â??stockâ??-fuel-tank-solution/

Has anyone replaced rotted hard lines from the tank to the engine with braided ss lines? I know folks that hve fuel cells in place of the stock tank use them and I'm considering doing the same just with the stock tank. Would I be able to cut the barbs off the lines from the tank and flare them for -an fittings? Thanks for any replies. BTW, tried the search function w/o success.
  11. Hey all. Back in high school I bought my first car - a 1977 280z. A couple of years later I sold it for something brand spanking new and I've been sorry ever since. Flash forward 20+ years to a few days ago when I brought home a nearly identical '78 z. I look forward to wrenching on it to making it what it would be if Nissan built it today. Not completely a resto but a resto / upgrade. I look forward to learning from those that are active on the board.
