No spark WHILE cranking?
To me it sounds the ignition switch start batterie power and ignition switch batterie power are mixed up. I had the same Problem with a new ignition switch. You can power the coil directly from bat+ with a patch cord to verify. Keep in mind the engine will not stop when you turn the key to off position.

any 2.7ish owners?
I do have most of what youre planning. I keept the E88 and Stroked the 280 Crank to reach 2753. It feels really good. Revs quick and has a lot low grunt (start at the light without any throttle with a lightweight Flywheel)... Fun to drive. Go for it By the way Rebello is seeling such Kits. I asked him a view years back and he answered You can buy our stroker kit. It comes with a stroked L28 crank (81mm) forged J&E piston, billet long rods and engine bearings.

Too Good to Be True? – 125 Amp Bolt in Alternator @ Datsun Store
It does already load at 700 rpms. mine idles at 700 and with all accessories on (Stereo, Heating blower full speed, Electronic ign and pump) switch the lights on and of gives a little hickup but thats all. What you loose with this alternator is the charge light.

When and Where did You get yours?
I went skiing with friends in spring 85 an saw the 72 on the side of the road for sale for 6000. It was the first i have ever seen (43 where sold in switzerland). The WE later it was mine with a bankloan (first and last) on my back. Payd it back, took it apart putt all parts in a garage and restored it 27 years later finished last year. Drive it now every day and fell back in love with it.

He Fabian Im impressed with what your doing. If you didn't buy any seats yet, I bought in 1987 new Recaro seats with H belts, had Seat rails fabricated for my 240 but never used them. Thy are 30 years old, but new, sitting in my garage since then... Keep up with your work. Marcel

Very Cool Ignition Upgrade
Uups I mixed the low and high rpm up... You are right. My impressions are (the numbers are my order of usage) 1. Original distributor --> really Weak (with triples a pain) = 0$ 4. 123Ignition with 1.5 Ohm Coil Flame Thrower -->weak but Programmable (with triples a bit annoing) = 570$ 3. Original Distributor recurved with Pertronix ignitor and 0.7 Ohm MSD Blaster 2 Coil -->Strong enough for triples but not programmable = 340$ 2. Original Distributor recurved with Pertronix ignitor and 0.7 Ohm MSD Blaster 2 Coil and MSD 6530 "delay" Programmable --> Strong, Perfect for triples (but unreliable in my case) =720$ 5. 123Ignition Distributor with Crane 6300 S and LX-91 Coil 0.4 Ohm "normal" Programmable --> Strong, Perfect for triples (But expensive all together) =770$ As I said, this is my opinion/expirience

Very Cool Ignition Upgrade
There is a new Input I was never overall happy with the 123Ignition. The main reason was, when the Engine was hot and I stopped it for just a minute, it tooks a few seconds to start... Annoing. Now I added a Crane 6300s. (low rpm Inductive with a longer dwell and changes in the higher RPMs to multispark.) Result... Perfect. Now I know, the 123 is a weak ignition. Good for programmable Stock replacement. My webers are now happy in every situation. cold or warm. always a good low idle at 600-700rpms

Stainless steel headers, exhausts and JDM twin-pipe mufflers.
I used to have the ansa twin in the late 80s, but my engine would yoke on it now. Your jdm is a bit to "raspi" i find. I know the inline6 engine sound is that way. To hear it it sounds great, to drive it it's a bit to much for me.

Sean The baffled is for jdm as well? What sound and power difference do you expect? Marcel

Yes, the tec support in Holland says as well not below 1.5 but 1.2 could work.

My two swiss S30Z Fairlady Restoration build thread
Hello Nils This Paper was written for the Original owner of this paper (the handwritten name you took at least off on top of the first page). He did not publish it but gave the original to me. I made a pdf and gave it to you without asking him if i am allowd to. (I have to live with that.) But publishing it and putt your www. JDMJunkies . ch on it without asking me is wrong! I can not allow you to keep it online without the permission of the original owner. Thanks Marcel

Very Cool Ignition Upgrade
No, i have the bt Version. Thats now interesting. In the 1 ohm range are a lot of good coils. The support in nl told me mid june min. 1.5ohm and there are not a lot on the market. Thanks for the info.

Very Cool Ignition Upgrade
After 500miles my msd programmable failed and i went with the the 123 as well. Programming is nice, but the spark power is low. Now im thinking to add a crane box to have the nice start and idle back i had with the msd. To bad they do not get the best dwell map with the distributor. The need of a high resistance coil does not help either.

Clutch Size
I also have the fidenza flywheel. With the 220mm clutch i found it a bit annoying as a daily driver and the clutch didnt hold my 270bhp. So i changed for the 240mm Exedy and first it holds and is a mutch nicer Combo to drive. Still snappy.
