I currently have some ARE Libre 14" wheels with Michelin 195/70/14 tires that are now 8 years old. I put about 1000 miles a year on the Z and was thinking about new tires. Michelin stopped making the tires I have. Two questions -- should I replace these 8 year old tires -- if so recommendations? thanks.
  6. I've got Michelin defenders on mine. Great tire.
  7. Awesome you still have that. Found mine about 5 years ago.
  8. Thanks it is a fun car!

  13. You're right except LOTS and LOTS of traffic! ? When its get cooler I might go out there and fill up!
  14. Thanks. Looks like those 2 are the only ones in the greater Austin area. Heck they are 60 miles out there and back. ?
  15. I am close to Lake Austin Blvd and Enfield. Heck both of those stations are a long way from me....
  16. Also in Austin TX and experienced a similar problem up until last month. I had been filling up the gas tank every time I got gas at a Shell station. . Driving only 25-30 miles a week left a lot of gas in the tank. It would take me 3 months to fill up again. With the ethanol blend we have these days I decided to run the tank down to only a couple of gallons. Instead of filling up I only put 3-4 gallons in with some ethanol additive and changed to Phillips 66 so the gas didn't get old and break down. Haven't had the problem since and ran the car yesterday in the heat. I still have the mechanical fuel pump, with AC but added a radiator shroud. So far so good ?

Ha Ha You're right! It is interesting driving a 70s car to work and back. I'm old enough to remember driving 70s cars to work in the 70s and there are little things you forget about.

I have an infrared thermometer and checked the temp at the radiator and thermostat housing. Ran cooler with the new sensor and shroud.
  23. Burl replied to Jeffrey Mader's post in a topic in Help Me !!
I replaced my sensor and that improved the accuracy of the temp gauge. I also installed a shroud around the original radiator and that has helped lower the operating temp.
