1973 240z fuel pump where does it mount?
Thank you so much. The photo is zoomed in so much it is hard for me to know exactly how it mounts. It does look like it mounts to a bracket and then to the frame. I think the bolt above the Phillips screw is the one I see in the photo I have. Thanks again, I am going to look for a bracket like I see in your photo, I might have it.

1973 240z fuel pump where does it mount?
Hello, it has been about a year since my last post. This car I bought was completely disassembled when I bought it. I am slowly getting it back together and I am not able to figure out where the fuel pump mounts to. There are two sets of holes going through the trunk area and it does not fit there and there are two holes going through the frame and it does not fit there. I have looked for photos of an original and have not been able to find any. I hope someone can show me a picture and help me out. Thank you for your time.

1973 Z dmensions
So this is what I have. The front crossmember is not installed. I tied a string from the frame holes that hold the front crossmember to the frame, from one side to the other. I almost get a staight shot from the rear bolts. The distance from the rear bolt to the front holes 93 5/8in and from the same rear bolt to the front crossmember bolt is 97 1/8in. The rear control arm bolts that are closerto the front of the car are to close to the dip in the floor pans to get an acurate measurement. I hope this helps.

So no one knows this? I have a completely disassembeld car hanging sideways in my back yard. Just to be sure, the front crossmember with the steering rack, the holes that bolt it to the frame of the car? TO: The rear lower control arm has two places it mounts to one towards the fron and one to the rear. I can measure that.

Brake Lines and fule lines and the holders.
It's a 73 240z, I guess you could say I am restoring it. I bought it from a friend who was practically going to give it away. He took it apart and sent it out to have all the rust fixed. Then it sat in his garage for a few years and he never got back to finishing it. I am in the process of putting it back together. I have it hanging sideways under a car port. I started to fit the old lines back in. I see the mounts under the car and I have the rubber holders. I think they should go in a certain order. It just doesn't seem right to put the old ones back in. I am looking at the kits from ebay and I think that is the way to go.

Brake Lines and fule lines and the holders.
I am trying to decide weather or not to replace all the brake lines and fuel lines. I see the kits on ebay that come with different lengths of lines. Would that be the way to go or making my own. I am looking for photos of how the lines run under the car. I see the rubber holders, I am missing some of the screws and brackets that hold them in. I would like to know what order the lines go in in the holders. Does any one have picture they can show me?

Nuts and Bolts What to do?
Not quite sure where my mind is right now. The donor car does not look good right now. There were quite a few but so much was missing off the cars and what a rust nightmare at that yard. Just asking the guy about some prices on stuff and he was way high. I am finding parts pulled and shipped to me on ebay for less than what he was asking. My dream would be to find one I could afford and bring home to work off of. I am starting to doubt myself. Thinking I am over my head. I do enjoy doing stuff like this but I want to punch the guy right in the face that I bought this from, and he is a good friend. Who in there right mind would disassemble a car and not take pictures and bag each bolt. Sometimes I enjoy this and other times I am ready to give up. I got the car for $1,500 knowing thats what he bought it for. He put $4,000 into just getting all the rust fixed. I gave him the $1,500 he wanted and I have another $1,250 in brakes, hoses, struts and bushings. I am not sure I could get my money back out at this pint. How can you go about selling a car like this?

Nuts and Bolts What to do?
I have a 73 project I took on and I can't seem to figure out what I am going to do about the hardware. When I got the car it came with a bucket of rusty bolts that I have sorted through and cleaned up. I am not sure I want to try to figure out where they go or if I should order all new hardware. Is it possible to order them all togeteher? Mostly for all the front and rear suspenson right now.

Chassis Shell
I have the schell flipped over and I am ready do do some work but I am not sure what to do. Before I bought this it was sent out and the floor rewelded in, the fron frame rails were done, the battery tray and I am not sure what else. All the rusted areas were taken care of and now there is some minor surface rust. I am thinking I am going to sandblast prime, paint and undercoat the bottom. What would you do. Please advise.

Thank you so much for the advice. I do plan to work on small sections at a time.

My New 73 240z hanging around ready to be worked on.
I bought this from a friend who took the car apart and had all the rusted parts replaced. The car has been primed and is ready to be put back together. I am not sure what I should do with the underside. I am going to blast it using walnut shells prime it and paint it flat black. Then should I undercoat it before putting the the rest of the suspension and drive train in?
