Way to go Kats!!!

Hello there
Sure wasn't me! My kids were laughing and told me the other day that I had learned just enough about cars to be dangerous! (Kids really keep you humble). My youngest son is a Z fan also and had a 280 until a drunk lady hit him.

Does you 'Significant Other' drive your Z?
A lot of the problems that I am having with the car now are because of my ex-significant other. The only person I let drive it now is my youngest son, who loves it as much as I do and babies it. He had a 280 untill a drunk lady hit him and he really misses it. My oldest son has only driven it one time, he doesn't really like it and has no interest in driving it.

Speeding ticket? how fast?
Hey Derk, My ex-husband had a 944, just like the one you mentioned, same year, color and everything. I used to blow his doors off in a quarter mile. The ticket I got the other day was only 81 in a 60!! I don't feel so bad now!! The fastest I have ever had this car was 115. I figure when it gets to the point that you feel like it is about to take flight, it's time to back off!!

Off To The Body Shop
Wow, that is amazing!!! (I have got to get a new pair of reading glasses). Mine sure didn't look anywhere near that nice when it was in that state. Due to very bad body work I have to go through all that again. (After I get the suspension lined out right). It has rust popping out all over it and it looks awful. You are right to wait and get someone who knows what they are doing and that will do it right the first time.

It looks so good in primer I can't wait to see it in paint!!

How do you like the front of your Z?
The more I look at the G-Nose, the better I like it. Does anybody know how it compares with the various spoilers aerodynamically?
-
How old are you?
RhondaZ, you are not alone!! Ok, I am 42. They say you are only as old as you feel. (I feel like a verrrrry tired 25)

Now...This Is Very Nice
Wish I had the money! I'd have to drive it though. And probably paint it. Orange isn't too bad though, better than yellow or purple. I think it should be against the law to paint any large, fast-moving object purple!!

Insurance, 280Z and value
My youngest son wrecked his beloved 280 and the insurance company paid him 4,000. (1st offer)

wiring?
I will have my son check the switch then. Sorry!! I made this a lot harder than it had to be. Next time, I will be much more specific. Thanks, you guys have the patience of saints!!!! Bonnie

wiring?
Sometimes I get a little carried away. The switch itself that is dangling underneath the dash got hot and melted the tape. Before it was worked on this last time the headlights would usually work but you had to be careful and just barely pull the switch till the headlights came on, if you pulled it too far it would do the same thing (get hot and melt the tape and anything else that it came in contact with). Almost burned a hole in my skirt last time! That is what I have been referring to as "shorting out." Is that term correct, or did it just get hot. Please overlook me as I am "mechanically stupid." wiring?
Hi, I know that the fuses are the correct amp but I don't know anything about how he did the wiring. One thing for sure, it has given me trouble ever since he put it there. Do you think the switch itself could be bad? I asked my ex and he said no. Thanks for the info. Take care, Bonnie

wiring?
Hi, Well I just got my car out of the shop and thought everything was fine till that evening when I was driving home, and the headlights got hot and shorted out. Now no headlights and it is still blowing fuses. I know the mechanic did something to the headlight wiring because it is on a pull switch underneath the dash (my ex-husband did that a couple of years ago) and it had fresh electrical tape on it when I picked the car up. My youngest son has a 280 and is going to take a look at it, just wants to know how they are for comparision. Thanks, Bonnie

wiring?
Hey, Does anyone know if the wiring for the 280s and 240s are similar? Thanks, Bonnie

What Now?!!
:classic: All is well!!! Just got the car out of the shop and all that was wrong with it was that the alternator brushes were dirty and it had some wiring issues. Robert Crawley at Z-Car World is the Greatest!!!!
