I have a 73 240 with webers that have been on my car for at least 20 yrs. It has been sitting for about 3 yrs with occasional starting. I have not been able to get the motor able to go on the road due to the carbs dribbling fuel while running and cant get it to idle without the the choke on. I have had the carbs rebuilt but not by a specialty shop and they still do not operate correctly. I have taken the tops off myself to check the float level and still not able to get them to run well. I am thinking of buying two new carbs but i would rather spend the money on other parts for the car when I have two possibly good carbs allready. Felling very frustrated, Any feedback would be appreciated. Craig

  3. Hello to all and its good to have found this resource of people who are enjoying there Z's. I have a 1973 240 with probably a quarter million original miles and the engine still has life in it. My car has been sitting for the better part of 3-4 yrs and is in need of TLC allthough I have a various times purchased new parts and cleaned up the engine area etc. but she still needs new paint and the darn front bumper was backed into years back by a large truck that didnt see me and so I either have to repair and rechrome that or go with a fibreglass one. Anyway thanks to those who set up this forum for the rest of us to use and hope to meet some of you on the road someday. Craig Aho

Hello to all, Im a new member to the site. I have a 73 240z that has been sitting since about 2008 and I am trying to get i t back on the road. All my lights work except my headlight. I have no power at the fuses and not sure how the power runs from the battery. Does it got from the batt to the switch and then the fuse or batt to fuse firest etc. Any feedback would be appreciated. Also I'm interested in upgrading my stock electrical system any suggestions on where to start? Thanks Craig
