  1. Thanks OJ. Yeah the fog lights make the z stand out pretty nicely. I bought the clear lenses used on ebay and put yellow bulbs in
  2. Hey guys. I haven't posted much here but I would like to start posting some of my progress. Here is what I did for the weekend: I changed out my headlight buckets. My car came with headlight buckets that were made of hard plastic and were cracked in several places. So I swapped them out with metal buckets that I bought off of ebay. My old front bumper was a poly xenon type 1 bumper, I liked it but I wanted something different. I bought a set of used metal lower valence along with a carbon fiber BRE style air damn. All in all, I like the updated look. The carbon fiber air dam goes good with my BRE style carbon fiber rear wing. well, here are the before and after pics: Before: After:
  3. Steve, how was the installation? Did you need to modify your strut towers or anything that requires cutting/welding metal? I am curious to know how much of a bolt in this kit is.
  4. Hello! I have searched this forum and other forums for answers, but i still have some questions about which coilover kit to go with. I am currently looking at this kit fm MSA: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PSDC14/23-4123 Does anyone have these on their 240z?. If so, what is involved in actually installing these on the car? I would like to get a kit that is as close to "bolt on" as I can. I dont want to cut up my towers so i would have to get the EMI/ biscuit type camber plates. from looking around it seems like the kit from Beta motorsports is the way to go. Does anyone have any experience with that kit? Anyway, I would really appreciate any input you guys have if you own either of these two kits. Thanks in advance guys.
  5. Gary in NJ, I guess I wont be the only one using a GPS speedometer . Yeah GPS sounds a lot more practical other than the fact that you may lose signal in certain conditions. I too am swapping out all of my gauges. My first priority on my car is to change out all the electrical wiring with a new harness, and since my dash is out, might as well change out the gauges.
  6. Thanks guys! I have no current issues with leakage from the speedometer connection to the transmission. I appreciate the very helpful inputs, except for the first reply =x. Btw thw reasom i am going with the speedhut gps speedometer is because of the technology, it's other features like 0-60 time, 1/4 mile time, current direction, etc. Plus it is easy to use, no calibration needed, no speedometer cable to worry about. There are some downsides but very minor, such as it won' t function going through tunnels, etc. Anyway, if i am the only one using a gps speedometer then i highly encourage you guys to check them out. Anyway, i appreciate the help once again.
  7. Hello! Quick question for you guys with the GPS Speedometers. I bought a GPS speedometer from speedhut and I am currently installing all of my new gauges. Since the GPS speedo doesnt need the speedometer cable, what do I do with it? I would just remove the cable, but what would I use to plug up the transmission? Please let me know what my options are or what you guys have done to solve this minor issue. Thanks in advance!
