Awesome stories - loooovee the ones about the previous owners seeing their cars again. I was able to fit two 8-foot projector screens in my 280z the other day. [link] -

Len - hilarious! Blue - wow, awesome job both my headlights went out late last night...while driving on the highway. luckily i found the issue and was able to fix it right away - it was the wiring in the steering column

Most new wipers have the ability to be fitted on the stock Z wiper arms. I just put on Rain-X, and didn't have an issue.

Finally put on the side moulding - man, gotta use the right sized rivets and a spacer to get those nice and snug! I used 3mm diameter, 6mm grip for most of the holes - http://dailydatsun.com/2012/07/07/side-moulding-door-bumpers/

Another follow up: got a stall / hesitation with new fuel filter. Changed fuels for the past few months (87 to 91 octane) and haven't seen any issues. Still haven't peeked in the fuel tank nor looked at fuel pump, but at least things are promising. At this point if I do get something again I'll drop the tank.

This was last week but.. I got married with mine! Completed just hours before use hahah but it was perfect. drove next to a great 280zx turbo near the SJC airport. i spotted it down the street and went the long way to work just to wave hi. he threw out a hang 10 :]

Installed a belt for the A/C compressor. Noticed it missing while doing the oil change; just in time for summer.

I've read a few good things about Les / Classic Datsun, and unfortunately also didn't get a response (for seat covers / seat foam) after two weeks. So I bought them from the classifieds. After reading this thread, it's great to read so many positive things people have to say about him and his operation. I'll still keep him in mind for other parts in the future.

i found out today that my headlights aren't working. Hi-beams are ok, but not regular lights. On the upside, i finally received bumper mounts in the mail.

I'm in San Jose, CA, and there's a mix crowd out here: a lot of car buffs (and if you'v seen my car, it could use a buff... and a whole new paint job), but i'm with FastWoman - got a silver Z. I'd say most Z drivers are looking for you though (240z - 370z); I've only ran into 1 240z driver that didn't flinch when i was honking by on the other side of the road w/ my hands flailing. I'm relatively new to the Z scene, so i try to "make it a meet" every chance i get. Certainly we get more looks / comments than most modern cars (yes!). And we're back in culture with the pop/hip-hop scene being in Far East Movement music videos! :]

jeanp - great to know you just got them too! I just pick up the same set (MSA 3-2 header, MSA performance exhaust) and can't wait to put them on. Let us know how the install went (now that you know which way to put the muffler on!)
