Head light cover SCREW-ADJUSTING szie
Hi, I try to put back my head light to the fender and I realize I lost my screw for putting headlight to fender. Datsun 240Z/260Z/280Z Head Lamp Based on there, it called SCREW-ADJUSTING. Part # 26022-01301. Does anyone know the size of screw? I don't want to pay $1 more for each screw. Thanks, tamo3

Under the fender rubber
Wow, redzedsled, your Z looks awesome! Thanks for sharing this info. AZ-240z, I haven't tried paint shop yet. Since it's summer time, need to take care of kids and don't have time to work on Z staff until they got to bed. I stopped by o'reilly Auto parts near my home on the coming back from work, but they don't carry closed cell form pad, neither at HomeDeopt. hope to find some other auto store soon.

Thanks Zed Head for great information. I didn't find that web site. That's really helpful. I rebuild 71B tranny before, so I know how hard to pull out the bearing :-) I will! Thanks!

It quite easy to grind. Need to grind al least 2.5mm. Got 16mm drill bit @ eBay. Drilling from front side of bellhouse is easiler. done. Forgot to order bearing. '90 240SX FS5W71C swap into '75 280z
I got 71B 5 speed bellhouse from one of my friends. I decided to move onto 240SX transmission swap into my 280z. First of all, bellhouse comparison. It looks like there are several different 71B bellhouse with a bit different pattern. This is my original 71B 4speed. It's written "L2" This is the 71B 5speed bellhouse I got. It also written as "L2" This is 240SX 71C bellhouse. It written 71B... with some animal? I found some pic in internet that is written 71C for 71C bellhouse.

U-joint for driveshaft
Thanks Zed Head. Yes, I checked the thread. After replacing u-joint, I'm planning to bring driveshaft to local shop to shorten and balance it. Hi, Chas, Thanks for the info. I didn't know older model of Z use bigger u-joint. I was lucky to find '90 240SX at the junkyard right after I got extra 71B bellhouse. Maybe write up in the different thread about it.

U-joint for driveshaft
I want to swap my tranny to FS5W71C from '90 240SX. In order to swap tranny, I need to shorten driveshaft(propeller shaft). Before, sending my '76 280z driveshaft to shop, I try to replace 40 year old U-joint. This driveshaft comes with staked u-joint, which is none-replaceable u-joint. I follow Blue's information to order u-joint. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/ujoint/index.html I couldn't find spicer, so I got precision 391 instead. It looks like too big to fit... When I measure the diameter, it's 25mm and match with Blue's information. But when I get original u-joint.. it's 22mm When I search more, it looks like rockford is selling u-joint specific to those staked u-joint. The parts number is 430-10 for ours. I'm not sure some of the Z uses replaceable u-joint that listed on http://atlanticz.ca/ Just FYI.

SPAL Power Lock actuator with Viper 350(3105) relay wiring question
I recently purchased SPAL USA 37000148 Two-Door Power Lock Kit for my 280z. Also I purchase Viper 3105V alarm kit. SPAL 37000148 kit comes with 2 actuators and 5+2 wires harness. Also I purchase the switch. The wiring harness is using 5+2 wires. Since I'm planning to install speaker, power window kit, I would like to reduce the number of the wires. Therefore, I prefer to get rid of original wiring harness and just run 2 wires for the door lock. When I research the12volt.com mentioned I need 2 relays to operate lock/unlock function. I'm not sure whether I need total 4 relays (2 per actuator) or just one set (2 relays) only. Here is what I'm planning to wire actuators, switch, and viper alarm. Could someone give me advice? Thanks in advance. tamo3

Rear deck lid weatherstrip - where should I cut?
Hi, I'm about to install rear deck lid weatherstrip that I purchased from MSA. There are top part and side parts of the weatherstrips for the lid. I'm wondering the direction of the installation is right or wrong. Also, should I cut the top seal part of the weatherstrip or side seal parts of the weatherstrip to fit the lid? Thanks for your advice in advance. tamo3
