  1. Captain, Yes, once I get new tumbler, I need to re-key for ignition and rear hatch too. I installed this tumbler and I realized that I broke plastic part that connect to the bar. I use wire to manage the looseness and now everything is working! Thanks again for all!

  4. Thanks for your feedback and take your time for investigating. I diagnostic the issue based on your feedback and I discover my tumbler is already worn out! That's why I can't lock the door. I'm getting new tumbler from ebay now... Thanks! tamo3
  5. Uploaded video clip. Also, I found broken plastic parts at the bottom of inside of the door. Does anyone have clue?
  6. I'm so stupid I lost my 240z key and I don't have spare key. I was planning to replace key anyway. I have a whole set of replacement tumblr. After struggling unlock the door using wire hunger, I managed to open the door. Remove door inside panel and replace the tumblr. Now, I can't lock the door. When I insert key and turn the cylinder there are too much loose connection. Does anyone have tips to adjust lock? Thanks, Tamo3

    Why are you trying to avoid cranking engine? Plug clear tube in the fuel line and crank the engine is easy way to find out whether gas is coming or not.

  10. I saw a photo from RatsunZ. Does anyone try this unicoil hose bender for using this for 17235-E4601, Large diameter hose with several preformed bends, including a 180 degree bend? Do you think it's safe to use it for vent hose?

    I think dhp123166 is talking about intake drilled for injector tips. Maybe the head is modified and filled the injector tips hole for intake port.

  13. Thanks so much for the advice. I was lazy to avoid open valve cover and check TDC. In order to get accurate TDC with pulley mark, I understand what I got to do. FYI I try to install 280z timing mark plate onto 240 P30 block, but the screw location is slightly different from N42 block.
  14. Hi, I just got Xenon Timing Light to measure ignition timing. When I look at pulley timing mark, I can't tell which side is zero since it's different from 280z timing Is top one the zero or the bottom one in the picture? When I look at FSM for '72 240z said "The top dead center is located extreme left as viewed from inspectors side." Thanks for the help, tamo3

  20. Isn't it faster and easier to pick up another alternator from junk yard to swap? I pick up '82 Maxima alternator and get rid of external regulator from 240z.

  23. I had similar issue with you. So, did you watch Z therapy DVD? You can learn a lots of SU and how to adjust. Sounds like your carb setting is too rich. Too much fuel when you step on the gas pedal. I had same issue and adjust float level will be fixed backfire issue. Also, valve adjustment will help you to easy to ignite engine too. Highly recommended.
  24. Follow the FAQ on the manual, connect red wire directly to battery to try to start, no luck.
