Hi, I'm working on upgrading alternator to CS144. In order to upgrade, I m thinking about upgrading 12V+ and ground(earth) wiring too. Is this good idea to upgrade to 4gauge wires between alternator, starter, and battery? I wasn't sure it's too fat wire or not. Thanks, Tamo3

Working on Power Antenna modernization. Watch Youtube video how 3rd party power antenna works. Since my power Antenna did not comes with any instruction(maybe I lost?) Original power antenna is controlled up/down switch. I want to control power antenna via modern car stereo with just one wire using existing cable. Here is my schematic. While Green wire connect to red with 12V, power antenna is extended. Once green cable is disconnected with red with 12V, the power antenna is go back to housing. Power Antenna is installed. Test with battery. Works! Need to connect Blue/Red to 12V constant.

Hi, I have '75 280z and it comes with nice big pet-bottle style vacuum tank. I wonder whether I can just swap this with 280zx smaller size vacuum tank with valves to save space and clean up. swap with 280zx vaccum tank. Do you think there is any problem? Thanks, tamo3

Yes, I won't use AT indicator lamp cable. I might use them some other fancy additional illunimation modification later I was wondering where the T-Connector connecting to. now I got it. Somehow I un-plugged from HVAC display panel. Thanks, Takashi

Yes, Sir. One of the problem you Bingo! Even though removing Tachometer, gauge light did not turn on. Fuse, Battery, and poor condition ground earth case main problem. It was a great experience to narrow down electrical problem. Thanks, Tamo3

Thanks for the quick reply. My 280z is 4 speed so, I did not pay attention to Automatic tranny wiring section!!

Checking fusebox. No melt down, no issue found. Looking at wiring diagram and I found out this 20A fuse run through so many wiring. It abused so much! But just in case, I replaced all of the 40 years old fuses. I learned that even though it visually looking OK fuse might be broken. Testing connection one by one. Can't figure out what is the expected behavior. Clean up body ground earth point. Replace battery too. I found one mistake on the tachometer wiring. Sealed with the heat tube. then... Works!!!! Thanks for your advice! Solve the problem!

I try to figure out some unknown wires connector. on the FSM, I could not find information around center console area wiring. - Red/Blue & Green/White wire with T connector. - Green female - Red/Blue male Does anyone know what those wire for? Thanks, tamo3

Thanks for the quick reply. I use original harness. When I tested individual gauge, I made sure to connect (+) to 12v and (-) to ground on the battery terminal. In order to avoid other factor, I replaced LED to orignal light bulb, but no luck so far....

Hi, I try to replace the illumination light bulb to LED while I finished dash repair. I checked with individual gauge, it works fine. When I mount dash, the illumination does not turn on. So, I removed dash and connect wiring to start trouble shooting. I unplugged headlight, all the gauges except clock and speed meter. Fused is checked. Shunt fuse is checked. Bypass register near the speed meter gauge. Brake light, high beam can turn on. Heater, wiper is working. what else should I do? Thanks, tamo3

Working on Voltmeter re-wiring. This is ground earth. - Green/white is connect to same as Ammeter. I need to find where I should merge this Voltage line near the fuse box.... Installed and run the wire. Anyone direct me where should I connect the voltage measurement wire? Thanks, tamo3
