Hi Gavin, the brochure is unique I think, I have never seen it on outside of Japan , I do not know why , I purchased this at Yahoo Japan. I do not know what countries received this brochure, anyway this looks general purpose for use. I really love the blue RHD car ! In Africa, whao. I think someone said there is a super low VIN car like a digit in Africa, have you ever heard of it ? Kats

Hi Blue , I was surprised you are doing it , how can you do it ? It helps a lot for understanding its details , original photo is not good to figure out what each pieces are . Here are the color pictures , and the one showing the engine bay looks the same car what we are talking about . Could you see the float has two pipes at one connector? Kats

Thank you everyone! I love both TOPY STEEL and KOBE SEIKO magnesium. I visited my friend on Monday, I was surprised that my friend bought the set of Z432 wheel ! The seller has owned his Z432 since he bought it new from Nissan , he took of them when he scratched edge one of them . That was 40 years or more ago ,then they were on his shelves until showing up on the auction. He is a doctor, doctor loves Z432 ... I check them and they are truly original and fantastic appearance. About the wheels on Yahoo Japan, I asked the seller weight of each wheel , but they never replied, I new it . I think the seller did not want to tell they are aluminum replica. The seller would want to have a lot of attention to raise bidding price. Kats

Hi Gavin and Patcon , I enjoyed the links so much , thanks Gavin . I bought the NZ magazine from eBay years ago , that was for the first time for me knowing there were options of the wheel and the stripe , the rear spoiler and even the front fender mirrors!! Still the car is arrive , wonderful. And the “ D “ center cap , I want it . There are only two cars I know which have the caps for their Z432. I know many Z432 owners still use the wheel ,but yes , basically people who saw the car said it is dangerous because it exceeds its life , lost worthiness. So I think there were some reproductions made of aluminum, Toyota 2000 GT too, not only owners also other models owner bought reproductions. But they are heavy! According to a Nissan Life ( Nissan issued magazine for customers) , interviews to Mr . Nanba and Mr. Wakabayashi after the winning of 1971 Safari rally, they said the magnesium wheel is way strong than the steel wheel , steel wheel is bent on by certain impact , while magnesium wheel is broken apart at very high stress. Manuals recommended wash your magnesium wheel very well after driving in salty waters. If owners take care of them well , the magnesium wheels are always good for use , I think . Some professionals can restore the wheel but I do not know the case which you provided in the pictures . Kats

Hi , Here is another kind Z friend , Mike B gave me this wheel nut wrench which is the best combination for 01/ 1970 Z432. It has only a Nissan hamburger , and simply showing an alphabet “ I “ . My 03/1970 240 Z has the same wrench and it has “ J “ on it. And a teeth for the removing hub cap is pointing different, early one is facing same direction as the nut socket . I think later one has like this , “ NISSAN ( NISSAN hamburger ) MOTOR “ My 06/1972 240ZG has “27 “ on it , what does this numbers mean ? And Mike rent me tools contents papers , early one has colored Nissan hamburger !! I have never seen it before . I will make replica of them for Datsun 240 Z and Fairlady Z , and Z432 . They are different each other due to tools line up . Thanks Mike B !! Kats

Yesterday I replaced a heater hose of my Z432 , it was deteriorated. The Inlet hose for heater is much more stressful than outlet hose, especially S20 engine creates high RPM , and circulation of water is very good , it means water runs very fast. And During the operation I broke a heater control mechanism. I had to disassemble the heater control facia , I added my work road by myself! I was so glad that the control mechanism trouble was only a steel wire , it was going wrong as it pushed so hard that the wire’s 90 degrees corner could not stop hold the lever. I fixed the wire , and pulled all the wires from their plastic tubes to lubricate . And I put a drop of oil on the every pivot and contact of the mechanism. Now levers move nicely, no effort for selecting positions. I was lucky I did this maintenance before breaking the mechanism and plastic control facia . Kats

Hi Lumens, I did not realize that, I was wondering what the huge threaded hole is for . I checked service manuals , ( 1st NOV 1969 for export , NOV 1969 and OCT 1971 for Fairlady Zs) there is a Nissalco ? stand , the difference is an adapter for each type of engine. And you will be surprised, Fairlady Z manual is omitting description of disassembly and assembly for L -6 engine , it says “ because it is the same as L16 engine, omitting description “ Kats

I love it !! That kid could be same age as me , I wish my father had owned Z . Kats -
One more befor go to bed , this set of tools is belonging to a 260Z sold in UK , just gorgeous, plenty of tools. This full set of tools is just like Nissan Cedric, a luxury sedan . Please note the Nissan hamburger marks does not have “ Nissan “ in it . This will be a sign that this car would build late 1973 or later . Kats

Whao, the sticker has the picture which is used for both RHD car and LHD car ( I do not know which comes first ! ) . Just it is inverted to use . Kats

Now it is my turn , I will give my "0 G " (to be Jul 1970) chocks to someone , just like Jim did it for me . If someone needs it , please let me know. I noticed variation of the sticker , my Dec 1971 and Jun 1972 cars have the sticker which shows single picture for how to stow . But other cars like late 1972 and 1973 cars have the sticker which shows triple step for how to stow . Kats

I have never seen “ box wrench “ , ” set drivers “ , etc . One thing I want to tell you is , Fairlady Z parts catalogs never showen those tools in it. And also they do not have a section of “ audio “ and “ key “ , as well as “ model NO . Plate “ etc. I attached pictures which are never indicated in the Fairlady Z parts catalogs. I am still wondering how did they take an order from customer without those descriptions in their book ? This is my biggest question about the Fairlady Z parts catalogs. Kats

Hi , today I would like to show this, a set of 9 K chocks . They are provided by Jim , Zup here . Thank you so much Jim , I am so glad that the perfect matching date chocks are in my Z432’s tool bin !! I took pictures, thank you ! PS : you see the extra tools in the picture, a monkey wrench and a tire pressure gauge. They are my choice , I imagined when first owner bought the car , he would have chosen those tools from a Nissan dealer as an optional item . Other tools are STD for Z432 . Kats

Hi moelk , you nailed it ! Maybe an aerodynamics policy ? Alan , you have everything ! ! The electric water pump is totally unique for me, Mr. Watanabe really likes “ less weight , more power “ for everything. Kats

I am glad that my car has got its engine tuned by Mr.Watanabe , float level ,ignition timing , spark plugs, and carburetor balancing. The S20 became so much smooth, and sounds beautiful. I met Mr. Mouri , his green car was built by Mr.Watanabe , 250 bhp and FRP body panels all around . And it’s got real rally magnesium wheels !! It is daily shoes for his car , yes the car is his daily driver. Oh, and you see the valve cover , that is made of magnesium too. Kats

Mr.Watanabe has a lot of experience with S20 engine, especially Skyline GTR. He was a driver , then turned to be a mechanic. I saw so many S20 engines, 71A transmissions, R192 diffs, etc etc . I found S20- 000001 ! ! And also he keeps the last S20 engine , 002722 !! Even more, special works engine, parts , prototype engine, etc etc .. Kats

On the way to the heaven , I stayed at Onsen Ryokan (hot springs hotel) , a female manager was very interested in my car , she said it is so beautiful. I am glad to hear that !

Hi , Recently I tripped 3600 km for total with in two weeks .First , I took my 180SX heading north to my mother’s house then took my orange 240Z to my house, that was 1800 km trip. Weather was not good , but 240Z’s AC worked quite good , and automatic transmission was easy when I was in a traffic jam . And today I have just arrived home, I have been to the heaven, S20 heaven . It was also 1800 km trip , I took my Z432 just to show it to the master , Mr.Watanabe . Kats

Hi Gavin and Alan, That car , I have never seen it before . Fairlady emblems immediately caught my eyes , beautiful rally car ! Kats

Alan , this is you ! Did you find some interesting cars and parts ? Or people ? Maybe in London, Kats

Hi scotta , I do not know I will be able to answer your questions, but here are some pictures what I have. Your car looks like late 1972 built, as we can see the last chassis number for 1972 is S30-101613 , your car S30-100698 could be built in September or October . Unfortunately The service bulletin Sep 1972 ( guide for the changes , this time created new chassis number starting from S30- 100001) does not have a wiring diagram. But can we use this, a diagram for Oct 1971 ? Because the headlight switch and the turn signal switch are basically the same up to Sep 1973 as well as the flasher units and the flasher switch. However, harness connectors had a big change at Sep 1972, they went 10 pins for the dash harness which connects to the body and engine harness. Sorry for poor quality of the pictures, hope this helps. Kats
