  1. A japanese Glass company ASAHI's tag.
  2. A small tag on the driver's side lower corner. I found this was also seen in the 240z for road test in the U.S. in Oct 1969.
  3. Hello, everyone I got a NOS rear glass with defroster through japanese auction. My original one did not work, two electric terminals were deteriorated and almost broken off. New one was installed recently, and today I have to drove in the rain,I had a oppotunity to test my defroster. It did work,I am very happy with it but it was so slow to defrost.I was about to reglet my spending a lot of money for it. Roughly 10 minutes after switch it on,gradualy began to defrost. How do every one do with this defroster? Thanks kats
  4. Hello abas, This is the one which I want to buy. I see it is dirty but if I clean it, will be good looking easily, won't it be? Do you see any major damage or crack on the surface? If it does not have big problem, could you sell it for me?I want to buy it. To minimize shipping cost, without steel wheel is preferable. Anyway, thank you abas. kats

And if someone wants bridgestone 6.45-14 skyway-H, I can sell NOS 4 tyres.I have 8 of them,4 are installed now. Thank you, kats

  15. Hi Alan, Yes, Mr.IGARASHI said in his book following, #1 Oct 10th 1969, R382 won #2 Oct 15th 1969 , A big party held by NISSAN for won R382 and 510 safari #3 Oct 18th 1969, press pre-view event #4 Oct 24th 1969, he took the photo of 240Z in TOKYO motor show began. #5 Nov 25th 1969, test drive day for journalists I identified the difference in C-piller emblem for fairlady-Z. I found early fairlady-Zs like press photo or motor show have different color pattern C-piller emblem. They have additional silver ring around "Z" but later ones do not have just painted black. For DATSUN 240Z,same story, earliest C-piller 240Z emblem and deck 240Z emblem have chrome plated "Z" later ones have white"Z". I told it from my Z friend Jeff in the U.S. kats
  16. Hi 2ManyZs, As Alan posted, the wheels on the test vehicle are different from actual sold model"Z-432". Z-432's wheel is made of magnesium,so at that time owners were cautioned not to remain in solt-water. 1970 Jan magazine said 50,000yen for 1 wheel(aproximately $150 U.S.)This wheel was very expensive, now they are still expensive in yahoo auction in JAPAN.$1,000 U.S. for 4 wheels. Thanks, kats
  17. Hi, This photo is from a May 1970 DATSUN 240Z service bulletin. You can see "HL270". 270 is a "KAIHATSU-KIGOU"means development or project or pre-production code of S30. S30 is a model name, you know.
  18. Hi, Thank you very much,240 in OZ. I saw them 175HR14 on ebay and I was going to bid but I did not.Because I wanted 175SR14,I wanted which I saw in catalog and it was different from the ebay item. I think the photo of 26th-Z is showing exactly original 1970 175 SR14.Because I can see same tread pattern in many magazines and factory catalog. I still want to buy 175 SR14,I posted "wanted" in other thread before.I will resume that thread. To 26th-Z,may I use your photo "175SR14"for my other"wanted" thread? If you allow me to attach the photo,it is easy to show everyone what I want . Thank you, kats P.S.You can see the tread pattern in this photo.Same as 26th-Z's photo,is not it? This is a HLS30 for test drive on Nov 25th 1969. This day was a test drive day for journalists. There were 3Zs, a yellow fairlady Z-L, a green fairlady Z-432, and a DATSUN 240Z not mention color(seems me green with tan interior). Please note no-rear window defroster, and a lisence plate is a temporaly issued one which we can see it in all Zs in the earliest japanese catalog. And deck emblem"240Z" has "Z" in chrome plated not painted white, this is only for early(1969)?
  19. Hi, What everyone do with this plastic washer for quater trim? This is a new old stock from NISSAN several years ago. I save original one but it is got sun- tan. I saw washers on interior door panel,is this happened only early 240Z? Please let me know about it. kats
