Hi Jerry, seems to me this one is original Sumitomo licenced MK63 ,http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m188011442 The seller says they are for solid disc roter . This means it is easy , just replace and install (need to cut baffle plate little bit though). The other one is aftermarket( not Sumitomo licenced) , so the price is not high for the ''buy it now'' . I recomend stay away from this aftermarket , you will find a good used Sumitomo one just adding little more money. This one is for ventilated disc roter. I think there are several versions of MK63 (Sumitomo logo on it ) #1 sold by Nissan/Datsun as a sports option for S30 from late 1969 #2 original equipment for Nissan President (big saloon for excutives) ,a bleeder pipe is pointing outer , so you may have a 15 inc. wheel or a spacer to avoid scraching the wheel. #3 sold by NISMO (discontinued in 2008) #4 sold by Victory 50 or some owners clubs after NISMO discotinued, manufactured by the same company which was making for NISMO. The last batches are painted silver. Still overhall kits are availavle, https://www.vintagecraft-e-za.com/販売のページ/室内パーツ/mk63ダストブーツリテーナー/ Kats

Thank you everyone , I will report when I actually see it. And , this morning a new , never used S20 cylinder block sold for 3151000 ( approx. 28000 USD) ! The block has only ''S20'' , no serial number on it . And on the side wall it has 72 7 5 41 , It seems to me manufactured July 5th 1972 ( I have no idea 41 stands for ) . The seller is the same guy who sold the NIB head, NIB crankshaft . http://page15.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t496375710 Kats

Hi, we can see the current number of its exsistance, Mr. Watanabe 's website, http://z432.sakura.ne.jp/newpage10.html At 06 NOV 2016 , total 140 ( 129 Z432 + 11 Z432-R) Z432s are confirmed of its exsistance. In his website , Z432 and Z432-R means the car has ''PS 30 '' prefix on the chassis number. We saw some S20 engined S30 body cars, also some PS30 cars which are not listed yet . I hope it reaches up to 50 % of its production number, looking at TOYOTA 2000GT is remaining 80-90 % of its production. Kats PS : A Z432-R is now on sale , I had not seen a Z432-R for sale long time , what price is this real one ? http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU5261803431/index.html?TRCD=300001

Zcar fiesta at Oppama factory I spent wonderful time with so many Zcar owners .Total 900miles driving was pretty happy , but on the way home was in a heavy rain, my Z432 likes rain... Mr. Matsuo is doing well , he said he and some design teem members made a world round trip just after finishing S30 styling ( it was late 1968) . Nissan gave this prize to designers who's work became production model. The trip for visiting world's famous motor show. That was a special treatment , Mr. Matsuo was not for sure that his request was accepted or not, because usually a few motor shows were considered . But he made a bid, he requested Paris , London, Frankfurt, Milano, Newyork and the last one was Los Angels. His request was accepted! Mr.Matsuo met Mr.K in LA , he showed a photo of 2+2 prototype to Mr.K , Mr.K was amaized about it but he was told "forget about making 2+2 for now , I want the 2 seater as soon as possible! " Kats PS The green S30 and the gentleman next to it is Mr. Kawashima, he rebuilt transmission for my Z432.

Z432-R BRACKET-horn , Alan, I was not for sure its part number while we were talking about, but I was feeling I might see it before. And here it is, I found it in Air-conditioning section. There is no illustration , only a description. It does not indicate for "PZR" , it says "(op.) ALL" , but we see E7200 as a model designation. I think this bracket was originally made for PZR( Z432-R) because it has got E7200 as a part number. We need to see more examples to confirm its true shape. Kats

Center maffler and rear maffler were painted, Pitwork brand heat proof silver is the most duarable paint I think. Please note exhaust tube cramps , there are two types, one hole and . two holes. Kats
-
They let me use some tools to disassemble the previous transmission, they are very generous for amateurs. This project was started to find a reason of oil leak around the center maffler. I noticed a steel tube which is working with clutch release bearing was loosen and turning. and two pins under the shift control arm, O rings did not do their job, so a lot of oil leaked from there. kats

Replacing job has completed , the mechanic in the photo is Mr.Okajima , he is young but very skilled man.His toy is 1974 Ken-meri Skyline. I recommend maintenance at Nissan is very good if there is a mechanic who has good experience of an old car Kats
-
Previous one has gold plated shift arm, new one's is black. I think original color is cream white for the arm. Once the spacer was located as a service manual yesterday, then I told a mechanic disregard last my request, get back just like as it was soon after I saw Alan posted here, thank you Alan. Gas leakage was found on the center maffler , must be welded soon. And I changed a shift boot 3 times for this Z432. My 1970 240Z has still the one was new in 2000. Too much heat ? Or oil leakage damaged the rubber? Kats

New rear case, just in case . My Z432 is now on a lift at Kyoto Nissan, previous transmission was taken off , a replacement one must be on the car tonight . Kats

Hi Alan, Thank you so much , I take your comment and I keep remain the parts as it is , not follow the manual. I think this is woderful ! we are leaning every day, we are finding correct thing even Nissan does not know. I was thinking same thing Alan, I really felt natural to seeing my mounting parts, and I really liked those special parts only for Z432. If I did the work without seeing the picture of the service manual, I definitly would assemble the distance piece between the spacer shim and the mount . If the distance piece was really need to be touched to the aluminium case, also need to be a certain distance, I think enqineering designers would just make it longer about 2mm. Then you do not need to have the spacer shim like you said , Alan. Every Z432 I saw has this muonting style, I attached 3 pictures of Mr.Watanabe's , Z432 at Mega web Odaiba, and the 31000USD yahoo auction S20. This leads to me remember a story of cracking problem of the transmission rear case when Z432 was in a race track back in 1970-1971. Some Nissan factory racers told us ''it was very notorious the vibration of Z432-R's transmission, sometimes it cracked...'' So, I think this could be the cause, the distance piece damaged the aluminium transmission case in a very high speed and much stressed situation. Can we say we found the reason of that? The last picture is my another spare FS5C71A which has totally cracked in two pieces Kats

Hi hr369,I have been there a few times. Mr.Uchida is very passionate for Hakosuka , I wish he becomes more being interested in S30, but yes he is very busy on Hakosuka. I think he does nice work and price is reasonable. Kats
-
By the way, is it repairable? A winner of an auction is now very unhappy when he saw rusty water came out all over the block , transmission. Winning bit was 31000 USD. On the other hand, a new in box S20 head only (no cams/ valves/springs/etc) was 25000 USD on Yahoo Japan auctuon . Kats

Arrived at Kyoto Nissan , waiting for installation. I found previous transmission has wrong order of assembling about a plate and spacer. A thin plate should be under the spacer, not on the spacer. This will be corrected when the new one will be in position. Kats
-
My Z432 had its transmission rebuilt in 2013, here is a link of Mr.Kawashima 's web site. He has been rebuilding many transmissions for S30 and Skyline. This time I ordered him rebuilding my another FS5C71A which was kept in a garage as a spare. Tomorrow the spare one will arrive at local Nissan near my house, I will report replacement job at Nissan. This is the work in 2013,http://www.vintagecraft-e-za.com/s30zのページ/旧車のレストアは楽し/71a3分割-空飛ぶz432/ And this is the work just completed last week,http://www.vintagecraft-e-za.com/s30zのページ/旧車のレストアは楽し/71a3分割-空飛ぶℤ432その4-1/

Hi, I think there will be no differences between early and 1971. Just picture quality of 1969 is better than 1971 , And just for your interest, Flat rate schedule and Collision estimate are attached. Kats
-
Hi, I want to see the English ver. book, I will check how big the differences is. Chris, yes that #3 is S20 with LHD. They tried every conceivable combination which they came up with. Mr.Uemura is still regretting that they could not release 4000cc V8(Y40 for Nissan President) S30 . He was assuming positive requests from US customers, but there was no request. If that happened, what kind of name was applied? Interesting. Kats

Thank you everyone, so do we have two types of E31 ? Hi Dan,how are you doing ? I reviewied your beautiful 240Z , wonderful car. Kats
-
Hi, I saw my L24 , there are some differences between E31 and E88. Have we talked about this already? How do you say this tiny banana shape of the cylinder head? Length of the banana looks different, I think E31 is longer than E88. What do you think of it? Kats PS. The last two pictures are racing special head, you see the ribs and blank for fuel pump location. Thanks for Kubo-San , Speed shop KUBO .

Blue, I did it too much, it should be just on top of the stud bolt. I see Nov 1969 Tokyo motor show car has yellow painted on the bolts of shock towers, very cool. My 240ZG has sitll yellow paint little bit on the bolt. Kats

Thanks Blue, I think the 00002 is still sitting outside and just wrapped by a cheap cover. Must see before gone . Kats
