  1. Thanks for the info Brian....
  2. Yeap I believe so... He is still in Okinawa. Stew imported his to Cali via Motorex back in 1997-1998 now he is retired USMC living it up in Florida.
  3. What is the guy asking for it? Is it L or FJ?
  4. Now they both graduated to GT-R's :devious: Rick's: Stews GT-R (attached)
  5. Here is a pic of the boys back in the day in Okinawa: ~Rick's '84 DR30 DOHC FJ20DET ~My '86 R31 RB20DET ~Stew's '91 R32 GTS-T Type M RB25DET
  6. Did you have the GC10 with the RB26 and the gold wheels your wife called her the mistress? I would love to have another GC10 4 door (silver) next to my '71 240Z (silver) in the garage. I did same years but screwed up thanks USAF...! Just a few questions: How much are the GC10 4-doors going for compared to the 2 door Ken & Mary? A Ken & Mary 2 door is my strong second choice but the R30 is also nice since those you can bring in now per the DOT 25 year old rule. One more thing is it more difficult to import the GC10 since the Motorex issue or has nothing changed, I would imagine not. Do you just have to pay for shipping and the import fees without having a RI correct? Well enough questions I don't want to hijack this thread anymore....:stupid:
  7. Yes he is I sold it to him in 2000 and he disappeared until I seen his profile on www.zcar.com with the cardomain link. he is going all out on her. Now I can afford it she's gone Brian are you still bringing GC10/GC110 over from Japan? If this is the same Brian with the GC10 we talked a few years ago after you got yours. I don't know if you remember me or not.
  8. Brian, Correct you are. He was a nice guy when I sold it to him. I tried contacting him several times and no reply... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/668866 I'd love to get another one. I would sell my 240Z in a heart beat.
  9. Thanks Alfadog. They weren't allowed in the states when I came back from Japan in 1998. I did bring this back but sold it to a guy in Texas due to financial reasons.
  10. Sweet where are you located? Look forward to seeing the pics.
  11. They actually made a R30 Newman edition. http://car-cm.zdap.jp/nissan/skyline6th.htm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AErkdBTKo5E I miss my '86 R31...

You meant RS Watanabe right not watanabe rs's? In the picture above post #36 those are RS Watanabe R Type. They also made the A Type and RS-8 to name a few. http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/userspage_new/nissan.htm Scroll down half way to Fairlady. Most of the pics when you click on them give you size, offset and what model. I purchased mine from: http://www.wheelchoice.com/ Here is another one that has them that I dealt with also: http://takumiproject.com/brand.asp?brand=RS%20WATANABE

You did your research and so did I. I originally went to Tires Plus and they tried to mount them but didn't feel comfortable installing these tires on my Wats. I called around a bunch of places and the guys over at Mr. Tire that install big 20"+ wheels on SUV's using a Cheetah said to bring them by and it wouldn't be a problem. They didn’t have to use the Cheetah but mounted them normally and they went on flawlessly, $20 later they were mounted. I talked to Joji from Wheel Choice because I said no one over here wants to mount them on my side of the world. He laughed and he said they mount them like that in California all the time. The problem is on the east coast the stretch look isn't as popular as on the west coast. Safety, Safety blah blah blah they are on the rears and you know what it’s “All about the Look” right daddz. The fronts are not stretched and that’s where the most safety concern would come in IMHO. I don’t plan on running these on the track and if it blows I’ll cross that bridge when it comes. This was started in Japan and occurs on a daily basis and in my case the stretch is very minor compared to some wheel and tires combos that the Japanese run in country. Those tires are unobtainable. However a 265/45/16 are but they are competition and not street tires. With 500hp these won’t last long anyways hehehe muhahaha :devious:  I beg to differ. Try fitting these on a stock suspension. The stock lower spring perch will rub on the tire. An 8.5” 0 offset can be run using 245 in the rear and a 225 in the front any bigger and the lower valance will need to be removed because the tire will rub when turning. Fronts: 225/50/16 16x8.5” -6 offset Rears: 245/45/16 16x9.5’ -19 offset
  17. Also check WheelChoice ask for Joji. This is where I got my 16's brand new built at RS-Watanabe plant. I had to wait a few months but they are well worth the wait. See below.

  22. I think a set of 15x6 would look nice on my 810. The question is XR-4's or Watanabes, what do you think? I am not sure what I can fit up in there.... Yea let me know about the 8's for the Z. Thanks,
  23. Mikey, The Ken and Mary is coming along great. So is the whole thing painted or just the engine bay? Need more pics, have you updated cardomain? On my end, my Ross pistons finally came in, Wats have been on for a while check out the thread if you missed it. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18850 All other parts are purchased just waiting for the motor to finish so I can start assembly. I was just out in your neck of the woods last week for 4 days in Huntington Beach. I met a guy who has a sweet 240Z w/ RB25DET that I am thinking about to compliment my L6 Turbo. I am still trying to track down 2 15x8 XR-4 no luck so far.... Later,
