  1. you did notice he's put white gauge faces back in?
  2. did you find out how he got the car before it was made?
  3. Hi, I didn't say it wasn't worth it, just not worth it to me.
  4. Its good that they've updated it. Who's the main Fujitsubo importer in the USA? I personally can't see how a bit of bending of bits gets it to fit?
  5. That's it, not every early car had them fitted. They're just not worth the money some people are asking and getting to me. I'd prefer to put that $700 to a nice brake kit to go under 14" wheels.
  6. The seller did offer it me for $750. I'd like one but not at that price. There's a value to every person of every part, my car, even being an early one didn't come with the 2400cc valve cover, being chassis number 12000, 10/70 build. You decide what its worth, in this case, a couple of bidders really wanted it, other times they've sold for $300ish. which is its value to me. Above that, i'd just buy a new Kameari one, as to me I can't see the value.
  7. Sean you're crossing threads from other forums about other things, its not constructive to the discussion. FWIW, no your not a speculator, you know EXACTLY what I mean.
  8. Thats a very 'clean' looking setup there. Does look great. Is the backing plate a part or did you modify the plate to fit the caliper?
  9. in post 91/92 I also said it should lie with the importer/reseller. This is the water for the horse. https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fujitsubo.co.jp%2Fprods%2Fcarmodel4%2F02%2F00080&anno=2
  10. I've posted the link a few posts back. Posts 100, 106 also show it. Its not a cards on the table 'anything',
  11. They do have a very clear list on their website about what cars they fit....
  12. Sean, that text as I put was from a magazine article in January, I don't think its Fujitsubo directly? It reads like the magazine talking about popularity of cars in the American market, which the exhaust will fit but its not the target. I read it as they're fixing the only issues that the system has, hugging the body a little better, improving ground clearance, having the system in more parts, they type of joints they have allow a little wiggle room, if there's more of them, there's more wiggle room. I've translated the part about individual differences as meaning that they're old cars, they've had bodywork and bits changed so may not be as they left the factory.
  13. Sean, this text explains whats been changed on the Fujitsubo, its from cliccar.com ■ Japanese cars have a number of cars called "famous cars". It is especially seen in the cars that appeared after the latter half of the 1960s, and from that time it has rarely been named as a base car for customization. Hakosuka, Dalmacelica, Savanna RX - 3 and the generation not born at that time may have heard about the name. Among them, it is proud of its popularity and it is famous "Fairlady Z" that famous cars that are treated differently not only in Japan but also overseas including the United States of America. There are six types of Fairlady Z, each of which has a potential to call as a famous car, but it is the S30 type which is the first generation that gathers popularity beyond generations. Although the first generation, the form and the performance completed are reigning as an eternal hero in the Nippon sports car, and of course it is perfect as a customized base car. So standardized and customizable to look fresh at the moment is a vertical double tail muffler. At that time S30 type Fairlady Z had a version called "Z432" as the top grade. The thing like the GT-R in the skyline (actually the same S20 engine as the Hakosuka GT-R was loaded). The genuine muffler had a shape with two tails out in the vertical, so it was fashionable to do the same. Furthermore, there is a standard custom called "Sole, octopus, dual", "Sole" is a carburetor of Solex, "Octopus" isometric exhaust manifold called octopus legs, "Dual" fitted with vertically drawn muffler It was a boom to do. That is, if you customize S30 Fairlady Z, a vertical double tail muffler is essential. ■ Lowdown corresponding model which was born after about 50 years time! Such a vertical double tail muffler, it is surprising since it is said that a new muffler appeared in this 2017 year. The S30 type fair lady Z appeared in 1969, so you can buy a muffler for a car almost 50 years ago as a new product now. What made such a feat is the biggest muffler world "FUJITSUBO (barnacle)". I think that it is no longer necessary to explain FUJITSUBO any more, but it is a long-established store that was established in sports mufflers when S30 Fairlady Z was active. Because there is a manufacturer who knows back then there is a sense of security. We are preparing the regalis series which is the standard model of large caliber & high efficiency muffler and the exhaust manifold playing high performance and sensual sound by giving top priority to exhaust efficiency. Both are renewed from the conventional model. What makes so-called "octopus, octopus, dual" "octopus" and "dual" the latest model is that it will make your chest worse just by that. And the biggest point of attention this time is that both the muffler and the exhaust manifold are regarded as "lowdown correspondence model". In line with the lowdown style which shows the excitement in recent years, it ensures the road clearance securely by laying down the floor uniformly from the exhaust manifold to the muffler. Compared with the conventional model, it achieves a height rise of about 30 mm. The fact that we can still propose new customization to the car about 50 years ago is probably because S30 Fairlady Z boasts overwhelming popularity even in modern times. Currently, users of S30 type Fairlady Z, as well as having the opportunity to jump into the world of old cars. Muffler regarris series representing FUJITSUBO. It is a basic model that combines large aperture and high efficiency at high level. It realizes torque up in the low revolution range and high exhaust efficiency in the high revolution range. Vertical double tail suits well for S30 Fairlady Z. In addition to changing the position of the flange and the shape of the silencer on the front side, the biggest point is to increase the load clearance by about 30 mm compared with the conventional model by reducing the space between the body and the muffler. In addition, the whole is divided into three parts, and it is possible to correspond widely to the difference in mounting position caused by individual differences of the vehicle. Fairlady Z ■ Price: Comingsoon ■ Exit shape: φ50.8 slash (double · vertical) ■ Pipe diameter: φ50.8 dual ■ Body type: S30 · HS30 ■ Year: S44.11 to S50.9
  14. Maybe the reason they don't make them for classic mustangs?
  15. I've zero Idea as I've not looked at them. Your exhaust must be the very best option for them.
  16. They clear the steering colum shaft so they'll fit US market cars/LHD also.... just not the later US only models. Its not an ill fitting system, if I had a 280z I wouldn't have bought an exhaust for a 240z
  17. Thats a bit harsh for a company, the importer should have, if Fujibisubo do not claim it to fit the American 280z, why do resellers? Has anyone found who the actual importer is in the US? Obviously it'll fit the engine, just not the chassis. Alan raised a good point about the diffs, I did forget how much larger the r200 is. If the new one is a better fitting package to the 240 etc, there's zero chance it'll fit much else.
  18. Sorry, I missed your previous. its hard to work out the exact issues you had from the pics. For what its worth, Fujitsubo do not list it as 280 from what I can tell? https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/prods/carmodel4/02/00235/00001511&prev=search I can't see why given there's more space, however with a lower cut out at the rear it'll change all the angles which would have a massive knock-on effect. https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fujitsubo.co.jp%2Fprods%2Fcarmodel4%2F02%2F00080&anno=2 Apologies for the google translate, its the only way I can get half way around some Japanese sites, google really struggles with it more than most languages though, I guess thats because of the annunciation which the translate autobots can't quite get?
  19. Did you look at their website? I think Alans ZG had one?
  20. Apologies, I meant they've got a long history of development of parts with the reputation(and prices!) that goes with it. Nothing against datsun spirit, I just meant they're not the same.
