it was only in bare metal about 4 hours. Its a long time indeed, I often wonder how far along it might have been!

Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432
Great detail on the Solex. Nice to see some Kehin FCR's on the l6/twincam engine.

Fairlady 432 at Auction
Also, didn't a v8 swap hls30 sell here for big money? I think with this auction, money doesn't buy taste. That 432 was a bargain. The ls swapped thing was overpriced tat.

SS Bumpers from Vietnam
I've had a set from 'Amy' at bumpermobile, ordered, tracking details sent a week later, two weeks later they arrived, cost about £520 delivered to the UK. Chroming here is so so so expensive. I'm going to cut the single piece front up to make a Monte Carlo spec front.

Its not rust! it was 100000% rust free, looks like moisture in the airline for the paint. Gutted wasn't the word. it means its spent over 3 years in paint shops! That's the past though, I can look forward to putting it together now.

To match the intrax suspension, i've got a set of VA-motorsport top mounts. Give a little more caster/camber, race race proven.

Hubs have been made up, struggled with the rears binding, all correct castings and the correct distance piece, ended with with a copper shim to allow nut torque but free rotation. I've worked out discs for the front. All fits under a 14" wheel, without wheel spacers. Not decided on wheel colour. I fancy a clash with the orange so I might go a green or gold shade.

While its been away, i've been gathering the rest of the parts needed. I decided to go down the Kameari route for engine parts, good value and the best history for our cars. The best thing is the weight saving with forged rods and Kameari pistons

Finally got the car back again. I had to get all the 'new' paint stripped/engine bay shot cleaned and done again as I had Micro blistering. Killed by joy for the car for a while. However its back again now, looking better than ever. Painter did his best to keep the panel edges crisp where I asked. Engine bay detail on the paint is about 10x better.

original blue engine paint colorcode?
if anything it just shows that these 'medals' are given out without any proper knowledge. Not every head/oil would have overspray as it was a hand assembled item.

My Rockers seem to be a little off, or I'm off my Rocker(s)
How much is it to get rockers re-ground?

Is my coilover spring rate too high?
they are though. Not made in china, I think its Malysia. Lots of other options from others apart from TTT, my money would go with a suspension specialist, not a cnc machine shop.

Is my coilover spring rate too high?
I think half the problem with these budget shocks(bc/stance/etc etc) will be the quality of the dampers. you can go up on spring rates if you've got good quality dampers to control it. these just wont be.

Reproduction headlight covers
Apparently they'll be more than$750 as its cheaper than the guy in Europe who makes them sells them for?

l24 blocked engine build - Few Questions
its not dissimilar to the rebello purist,so it'll work, custom pistons allow me to make it work as a whole package.

l24 blocked engine build - Few Questions
So after lots of measuring, checking and thinking, I've decided I'll need new pistons. So custom pistons (+2mm) 140mm forged fj20 type rods 260/280 crank. I'll then have a perfect 2.7, perfect squish, great rod/stroke ratio and importantly a serviceable original block.

Head ID?
I'm now leaning towards an early e88, or e31, looks amazingly similar to my e31.
