i think its a necessity on these cars! im also rust treating, rust kill enamel, sealing AND stone guarding under the car too. just seems the only way to prevent this jap tin from rusting :/

Bit off topic, but putting the lower control arm on, do you just place the big bush in the crossmember and slide the spindle through? No washer between bush and crossmember? Just seems to be tight, like it doesn't freely move up and down easily. I'm greasing all the nolathane with molygrease

ok i just read that VT v6 calipers are a direct bolt on to the 240K strut?? that would seem alot easier and i can get a pair of them for nothing quite easily! this true?! or sumitomos still better?

The feed comes out a different spot on the sumi caliper which means the stock weird s shape Brake line doesn't fit. Needs pretty much 2 90s which I made a template out of wire. Was thinkin to take it to a brake place and get 2 made up? That what everyone else does?

Depends how cheap you can get it. If you find body's a bit far gone, start looking at interior (crack free dash, seats, instruments etc), motor, any chrome because it could all be worth more than what you pay I started restoring a really rusty 4 door until when I started removing previous bog found sill panels, all 4 wheel wells, around windows, boot, under the car all had serious rust. while ive been working on the front end, ive been looking all over the car and one thing i noticed was the inside of my doors had a lot of surface rust. My doors have had the major rust cut out and patched, but i thought id treat the inside of the doors before they get any worse.. especially seeing as the old 240Ks have to be the rustiest cars i know So i gave them a light sand, then got my bottle of chemsearch rust converter out, painted it on, then after a day it had turned black, i sprayed killrust enamel all inside the doors! hopefully THAT will fight that bloody 240K cancer looks a lot neater now
