Thanks for the input everyone ! Best offer so far is $6K UPDATE 11/25/11: I JUST STARTED THE CAR , IT STARED RIGHT UP BUT WILL NOT IDLE PROPERLY. THE CARBURETOR'S PROBABLY NEED TO BE REBUILT. FUEL IS COMING OUT OF BOTH OF THE CARB'S BREATHER TUBES THAT GO TO THE STOCK AIR CLEANER. I AM NOW TAKING THEM APART AND CLEANING THEM OUT. I ALSO INSTALLED NEW SPARK PLUGS, POINTS, CHANGED OIL & FILTER, FLUSHED RADIATOR, LUBRICATED PISTON CYLINDERS WHEN I CHANGED SPARK PLUGS, AND HAND TURNED THE CRANK BEFORE STARTING TO PROTECT THE RINGS. I ALSO RAN THE FUEL LINE INTO GAS CAN WITH FRESH HIGH OCTANE GAS BYPASSING THE CAR'S GAS TANK WHICH NEEDS TO BE CLEANED (GAS TANK IS EMPTY).

Disingenuous? The story behind a vintage car's original owner is a valuable part of the history of the vehicle. If you don't see any value in that, then you are beyond help.
