S20 conversation piece..?
It looks like its been rebuilt. Its so clean. Do you guys know if it would even fit in an hls30 I know the front cross member and the bell housing were different, but would there be any interference issues with the controls ie master cylinders, being on the left. I'm not sure but I think I read some where that the engine was tilted in the opposite direction then the L**. I wounder if there where any left hand drive cars sold in europe, or maybe another market, with the s20 engine. Does anybody know if there has ever been a succesfull hls30 conversion. Ahmed

The first Z pace car
Hi I would like to add my thanks for sharing this information. I was wondering if you had more information on the Nissan Racing School. I am interested in knowing, if it was an actual racing school ie. Bondurant, or a driver training program, designed to show the limits of the car, and ment to ultimately sell cars, similar to the program BMW is currently running. Did they use other Nissan cars as well. Thanks again, Ahmed.

What brand are these wheels?
They look like Compagnolo's to me but with a much more curved dish. Didn't Compomotive make a wheel that looked like that? Im not trying to hijack this thread but since were on the topic of wheels, does anybody recognise these wheels. There is a small h in a diamond on the hub face. Thanks Ahmed. cool wheel with an h.bmp

Jaguar XJS ZEBRANO WOOD SHIFT KNOB
Hi This is just an idea. I was thinking about the trim ring, and how it's 3/4" in height you. If you take a drill that is .015" larger in diameter then your shifter shaft, and you drill a counterbore into your trim ring from the bottom, leaving a 3/16" of thread at the top. The trim ring will sit down lower on the shifter shaft and will only take up 3/16" of your total thread height. Make sure to protect your finish on the trim ring when you drill. here's a drawing of what I mean THIS IS ONLY AN IDEA, DISREGUARD IT AT YOUR WILL. Ahmed

Ebay, poly hyperflex kit, too good to be true?
Ive heard from alot of people that the red polyurethane bushings squeek when they move. It sounds like somethings loose or rubbing when you go over a bump. The black graphite impregnated bushings are supposed to get rid of this problem. Maybe that's the difference in price. Ahmed.

Engine To Stand Bolt Size?
Hi I just finished building/modifying my engine stand to bolt on to the side of the block. I used a 1/2" mild steel plate and 6 mounting points on the drivers side of the block. turned out pretty good, and looks very sturdy. Here are some pics, there really crappy, because I'm still trying to figure out all the options on this camera. gives you an idea anyway Ahmed

FIA calipers, should i buy?
Thanks for clearing things up guys. I can easily modify the rotors at work. I just have to find a supplier, that can get these rotors here. I wonder if there's a demand for modified 505 rotors. It would be much cheaper then buying 300zx rotors and then having a machinist turn/machine some spacers, not to mention the added hardware. Ahmed

Any opinions on these seats (on ebay)
I don't think I've ever seen a "newer" car with white seats. I think it's one of those colours manufacturers don't like to use especially on seats, they would be so hard to keep clean. "are the speakers replaceable in the headrest" You can replace the speakers in the head rest but you would have to remove the seat cover first. It depends on where your skill level is. Check this site out for reference. http://www.wizco.net/MX5/Mods/NBheadrest.htm Ahmed

FIA calipers, should i buy?
Thanks for the information Mike. I was wondering what Alan meant by "only need a different disc-to-hub PCD drilling mod to make them fit" Would I have to enlarge the hub centric hole or would I have to relocate the four mounting holes or maybe both. Thanks again Ahmed

FIA calipers, should i buy?
Ahh, that's too bad. would you know what year 505 GTI to use? Are they a 4 bolt or 5 bolt pattern? Thanks Ahmed I just have to figure out how to get them in Canada. The most common set up here is to use 300zx rotors with an aluminum spacer. Thanks Ahmed

FIA calipers, should i buy?
I wonder if these vented rotors, ment for the mk63's would fit with the toyota calipers. Do they have the same offset as the stock solid rotors. Thanks. Ahmed

Any opinions on these seats (on ebay)
Hi This is just my very biased opinion. These seats are some sort of a copy. If you look at his other items. you can see a pattern in the type of stuff he sells, (generic part with brand application.) I would question there quality and safety(DOT) and like Carl said "Seller's domestic shipping quote is OBSCENE!!!!" Those seats will look out of place in a zed. Have you looked at some miata seats. They look like they naturally belong in a zed and you have the added benefit of the spakers in the headrest, not to mention reletive availability. Ahmed

240Z racing and street videos
They look like panasport's. It sounds like he's going to fix it.

240Z racing and street videos
It looked like there was something on the ground, maybe coolent from another car that wiped out. That's some slippery stuff. They weren't going fast enough to loose traction like that.

ALUMILITE casting resin
Hi Will just wondering but can you elaborate on "far superior when 28-29 inches of mercury was involved every step of the way" Ahmed
-
ALUMILITE casting resin
I was thinking of very small parts. They seem to be using a silicone based mold compound that is flexible. this would get rid of the suction problem with a rigid mold. I remember ED was looking for the wiring harness grommet that went into the firewall. He could cast a new one using his original piece, and dimensional accuracy does not have to be absolutely perfect because it is rubber after all.

ALUMILITE casting resin
Hi I was not sure where to place this post, because of its potential applications I came across this product on a lotus site. http://www.unibrain.org/gallery/casting?page=1 It would be really handy to be able to duplicate minor plastic pieces that are impossible to get. You could even use the metalic resins to replicate rare badges and trim pieces, like the paintless z quarter emblems. http://www.alumilite.com/ Anyway thought somone else might find it handy. Ahmed

Attack of the cigarette lighter
When I got my zed the ignition cylinder was where the lighter should be. It looked cool because it fit perfectly inside the chrome ring/surround. so I haven't had the lighter broblem.
