  1. :beer:5th,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,THANKS.
  2. Update on this Ebay radiator, temp is way lower , the steam from the other night is gone, all hoses and clamps are dry,,,,yep , rad back to normal. Next on my lovely $$$ pit fix list the E brake,,,,,,,,,,,,
  3. This is the rod that broke, the long one on picture, in the hunt, and yes a fab is my next option.........:bulb:

Tom .... show us the car that will use this display, you know that we all like pics
  6. 5th,,,,,true but a plug and play set makes life easy
  7. Yes it looks nice and complements the look of the car, vintage Japanese classic sports car with an attitude. I like the raw look of the welds on the rad, modern with built in patina.....

At local car shows, the tradition is to let people see the car up close, so an easel can be an obstacle, some guys used them but wind is a factor and a pain in the a$$, rules from ZCCA mean nothing at this events.............Tom I will like to see pictures of your Z.....
  9. Well I did the am visual inspection all good.......................Kurbycar32 that rad looks nice ,as for the fans keep an eye on them ,as the life span on them is short,on my Z a GM source fan assembly fits nice with minor mods. Top picture as requested........

I had a sign made at a local print shop, it is 16'' by 14'', plenty room for car built info and 8 pics, laminated and held with very small suction cups on my rear hatch glass, so people walk around the car and see the info . No worries on wind or little ones moving the display ,when done with the event just remove and go .......had it done for 20 bucks.
  11. Well, it was order and delivered, got it two weeks ago, this afternoon after almost five yes 5 hrs, it is under my hood. Mandatory minor mods had to be done , as you all know my Z "FRANKIENZVETTEZE'' has Datsun/Nissan and GM parts and I want to keep the neat finished look on her. There was some steam after a good hard run to see if all was in order,I hope that it is coolant that was saturated on A/C condenser from the old rad leak and some that spilled during the refill . It was dark when I finished the install, so tomorrow in the AM's, a visual is in order...
  12. grantf.....yep I posted this episode and hope to get it solve ASAP, looks that the rod is not an easy part to secure, but the spring washers, cotter pins, trunnion pins, clevis pins are on catalog. In the hunt and not a happy camper. :disappoin
  13. I like to see high prices on Z's, this 260 to duplicate, will cost more than the New Car Dealership asking/price tag. Yes the 15 Large + or - is a fair amount if car looks that good on a lift, no rust , all running gear in top shape, etc. If I was on the hunt, at a car dealer, with cash , I will tray hard to drop that price ......FWIW
  14. Mike, the cables are fine , the rod that connects to the yolk broke and its connecting hardware vanished , so I am ordering those bits in hopes to remedy this. I don't see the complete assembly offer for sale as a unit, if you know how to get the complete assembly , please send info..
  15. Yes, I also agree that it looks very nice and the work done also looks 1st rate, yes some things were made to personal taste but can be reverse, what I am surprise, is to see the willingness of paying the asking price from a NEW CAR DEALERSHIP( Used Car Dpt)..................... FWIW
  16. Jim,thanks for the pointers , this was not expected, I just replace the pads a few week ago as preventive maintenance on all corners and it all look fine, the E brake was inspected and it look in proper functional order. This is part of the'' Joys '' of owning a 40 yr, in my case old/and not so old car. This repair I believe that is doable by yours truly. Kurbycar32, thanks for the offer on your old parts but new bits is what ''FRANKIENZVETTEZE'' wants
  17. New car dealers always shoot for the moon, they might take 7,8 or 9 grand cash, car looks good and some nice work done IMO,,,,yes go figure nyuck nyuck, you are in marketing ,so you know the game
  18. Nice pictures presentation, look at it in person and see if the pics correspond to condition, the seller is a new car dealer , so room for negotiation is there, good luck
  19. Yep, it was my head with no java in the am hrs, bad fix for sure ,,,,back to the B Dragon catalog and with luck the bits I need will be secure,,,,thanks for the response. I welcome any tips.

  22. morning bump............I am thinking in a ''mickey mouse fix'', use a spare clutch/brake cable from my Vespa, cut it to size, put it in the cable yolk and secure it to the handle , the Vespa cable has adjusters at both ends, what do you think
  23. tlorber,I rather have full knowledge of defects, any prospect for a Z should realize that they are 40 yrs old cars and that they are an enjoyable money pit animals;)
