zdogg....thanks for the congrats, this was a very especial treat for me, meeting the legend in person, having a conversation about his former car and him signing the glove box ,WOW
  4. I have them on my Z, the ad a sexy flair to the car lines, yes holes are the ideal install, the plexi/glass is made to tolerate moderate weather conditions, they do leak water and dust gets it, so you remove the box and clean them as needed Welcome to Z Land ,,,, nice ride ,love the color

No arguments my fellow Z friend , only exchanging concepts . I happen to own both, a 72 two door 510 and a 72 240, both are enjoyed to the max, but the issue of value seems to appear frequently when in group with Mr. Six Pack or Mrs. Wine. There are those who think that the rarity of a unmolested 510 two door(69 to 73) with no radical mods(period mods are OK ) and with a clean body/interior are in the same $ territory as a Z, maybe not an early first gen Z . I belong to that group of 510 owners, they are scarce and not many are in the open market as the Z,IMO As per future value who knows.............

psdenno...........in your world the 510 with all it's racing history/the marketing it had back in the day/it's well balanced drive train is FAULTY logic

cbuczesk......The Jefferson 500 Historic Race 2.5 Trans-Am Series. I respect your opinion but lets no forget the racing history of the 510(BRE) plus all the privateers in SCCA, makes it an icon just as the Z.

This past weekend I was in company with 17 Datsuns 510 owners and some them also own early Z's,we were attending an event in WV. While talking about J Lo the subject turn to the future value of the 510 two door(69-73) and the 240Z.We all agree that current values are all over the board, Z's seem to dominate the Ebay/CL listing and that the 510 have less of presence on this outlets . That being the scenario indicates that there are less 510 than Z's in the market,so the debate is, will the 510 be of more value ?
  12. Interesting topic,my Z came with the California style black mirrors that I am not a fan, replaced them with the small chrome bullet , they look period correct but are a little impractical,I came across a set of new replacement mirrors for mid 80's Mini Cooper, they look very similar to the ones used on UK Z's. Having both side mirrors IMO complete the sexy lines

This past weekend I attended the The 16th 510 East Coast Meet at Summit Point Race Track in WV and The Jefferson 500 Historic Race, 2.5 Trans-Am Series . I met Pete Brock and entered my 510 in the car show,my little marvel won a honorable mention in the 510 category, then to top the excitement ''Brockee" did two fast pace parade runs on the track, pictures will be posted . This was a memorable event and my addiction has no cure
  14. Run,run fast away from this one, agree with above advice, fly, drive, greyhound, to Cali and drive home a Z with no cancer , good luck

  24. It takes a deep pockets to do this mods, I have seen super nice work done on Z's, I wish you the best luck in this adventure, the above suggestion is the best avenue, I am on the ''original-ish drive trains'' and ''original-ish body mods , era correct-ish'' mods group.
