    Came across a front set of tokico springs part # 5020f....My question to you gurus . I only want to do the front ,is this OK and how much of a drop this set will do to a 72 Z. thanks:cool:
  4. What old car with heritage/nostalgia can you buy in this days for around 10k + or - DONE ,in decent shape and road ready,,,,,not much, but Z's fill that category IMO.

    I got mine at DATSUNLANDSOCAL part # D001 48 $ for the pair plus s/h ,,phone # 714 393 0273. They require the removal of the staple that holds them to the SS frame and they provide the clips that holds the rubber to the frame.

Thanks for the info on registar....I have given this Z a few personal touches but believe that are period mods,,,,a vintage leather Momo steering wheel,cut 4 inches from the sitick shift and adapted a vintage Momo leather knob that seats nice on the boot, just installed a set of polished wheels from a 77 Z, bullet chrome side view mirros and an old Sony AM/FM cassette player . I do have the original owners manual. PS ; same orange 918 as yours

What # is my 72 Z.....it is a California car now in MD ,totally refresh with new paint on original panels,engine has been changed with a 260 block all stock internals replaced,head is a redone E88 all stock,original no crack dash,seats and door panels now in cloth/vinyl,all original glass with new rubber seals, new struts/shocks, brake shoes/pads, rotors/drums, new master C, new brake lines, new bushings , front end redone,all electrical's in working condition including the factory clock,a used 5 speed trany with no issues and 71 SU's properly tuned.

  17. I came across a 5 speed trany that came from a 78 or a 79 620 truck ,the gears ratios on them are very close ,will it fit my 72 Z.I need your expertise on this mod.:bulb:

  20. steering on the right side of the cabin but the manual shift is on the left......you know what I was trying to express ,I had a UK MINI COOPER S and it was not a fun car to drive in US roads due to the drivers position in the cabin. Yep RHD.

  22. Distance should not be an obstacle, it is Cali car, any rust issues will be minimal if any, add the transport cost and you are ahead.I rather pay transportation $ against $$$$$ in body work.:bulb:
  23. I had a LHD and it was not fun driving on I95 behind an eighteen wheeler .....not easy to pass and on a single lane SCARY.
  24. That has to be the best looking blue big bumper Z in captivity ......lots of mula .So it is evident that our cars are collectors items,I try very hard to keep both of my 72 orange DATSUNS in top condition ,to me this hobby is my mental health avenue with vast memories .
