me again
Just thought I'd chuck in a useless fact. WD40 stands for Water Displacement 40th attempt developed by Norm Larsen in 1953. Cheers ps. Rick, you have a pm. Noticed you haven't read it yet.

Speaker Panel from MSA
Thanks Keith :classic: ROFL Oii, that was below the belt. I'm pretty fragile atm as I'm turning a quarter of a century on Friday and everyone has been teasing me about getting old. It's too bassy in a bad way Lachlan. There's just too much low frequency. Atm, I've got whatever the car came with when I bought it. A Pioneer deck with a couple of Pioneer 6" (?) speakers in the tool compartments.

Speaker Panel from MSA
It would be a propper strut brace Lachlan so it'll be good either way. What I like about it is, it'll create a proper boot space (kinda) by making the back of the box join the floor at a 90deg angle and have the other side obtusely angled (speaker face). Hopefully the distortion will get cut down considerably. carguyinok, i've already got the speakers set in the tool boxes. Bought the car like that but I'll be looking at improving that set up somehow. It's too basy atm. I've got my bass down to -3 and it's still too much.

Speaker Panel from MSA
Cheers. That's the kind of criticism I was looking for. Also, how would you be able to get to the spare tyre? Wouldn't the box get in the way??? Keith? I agree it is pretty expensive but if it looks neat... I don't particularly like backyard jobs unless my father is involved. He's one of those Jack-of-all-trades that freaks me out every time he picks up a tool. Anyhoo, I've got this idea for an angled sub box that uses a rear strut bar for support. I'll get some pics when I eventually get around to doing it. But before I do that I'll need a strut bar won't I. Why do I bother trying to save money:disappoin

Steering wheel - wood treatment
Thanks for that but what do you mean by plastic wood wheel?

Steering wheel - wood treatment
Hi guys. I've decided to get my steering wheel treated similar to kats' one. Picture here. What I need to know is who can do this sort of work for me? Any help appreciated. Cheers

Very nice kats. Your steering wheel has inspired me to get mine done although it might prove difficult to find a Sushi bar painter here in Australia. George

Another classic one from Carl. Anyone for a red?

Factory V8 240Zs
Do you know why this would be? I thought that seeing as it was only a test engine and not mass produced that it doesn't affect anything.

Tools...
Yes, how could have everyone forgotten that? I just found a nice set of 3/8 wratchet set from Repco with lifetime warranty for $134. One of my mechanic friends will buy it for me at a discount though so it's a good deal either way.

Tare Weight
MR C. They aren't actually charging you too much. There are thresholds and once you cross it there is a standard rate charged. If, like in my case, they entered the tare weight over 1500 then you would be getting charged too much. I don't know the exact thresholds but one of them is 1500. Cheers

Close-up
Quality shot! This was my desktop for a while before I got a Z. ps. Photoshop the spot of sunlight just above the tail light. It'll look better but that's just my opinion.

So this is your car Lachlan. You know that this picture among a couple of others of your car were the first pictures I ever found on the net of the 240Z. Played a big part in my decision to start to search for one. Cheers ps. luurve the slotters. Just need to invest in some tyre blackener ;o)

This one is short and to the point
I somehow doubt that would be your reaction:finger:

Tare Weight
Lachlan, if I remember right, the tech sheet I had from the RTA rated the 240K as 1200 tare weight. 350 Chev anyone???

Flywheel
What was original weight Brett and how much did they take off? I gather from your previous post you want more taken off. Could you not notice the difference?
