Adelaide Z Club
That's great news Ben. Would there be any Prince owners in SA? Or Aus for that matter? Might be just my ignorance but I've never heard of any.

Introduce yourself to the class?
My turn George M 24 Single Sydney Aus Contrary to my username I am not Ozzy. I was born in Macedonia and came to Sydney in 1987 where I've settled in very nicely. I do consider myself as much an Ozzy as anyone and love this country like it were my own motherland. I love movies, a fat book, a decent meal, jumping out of planes and riding my bike downhills. Most recently I've fallen in love with a '72 240Z. My friend who's and ol' schooler was constantly trying to get me to buy an old 8. I've loved the '67 Fastbacks since a wee little lad so I started shopping for one but soon realised that they are not as affordable as I originaly thought. So the quest for my next car came to a halt. That is untill I saw a 240Z in the streets near my house. Having never seen one I was more than curious and dubbed it my unicorn not knowing anything about this car. During a conversation one night soon after I brought up my unicorn and my friends realised I was reffering to a Z. That night I started my research and the rest is history as they say. Didn't take me too long to find one which was surprising because of the rarity of them here in Aus. Again I must thank Steve Curtis who led me to my car.:classic: Thus ends my story and here begins my love of my unicorn. ok ok, that was a bit  but it's true

Production date question
There was a discussion not long ago about this. Do a search on "VIN" and you shall find lots and lots of info. Yes they are in chronological order and numerical too although some (namely HS30-H) will tell you that a few numbers were skipped for whatever reason unknown.

To Do List 2003
Tell us what you've got planned for your car in 2003. Rules- 1)Post only once to avoid clutter 2)List all your to do items and try to be realistic 3)Once you have completed a goal, edit your original post and let us know the outcome I wish you all goodluck with your goals and may you fulfil them with change left in your pockets. My aim for this year includes- 1)Fit a quality security system *edit 24-Jan* Fitted a decent alarm system, central locking and power windows. 2)Complete car by buying odds and ends including; ashtray, door handle ends 3)Reco carbies *edit 16-Jan* Recoed carbies. It now idles smoothly and accelerates better. 3a)*edit 06-Jan* Reco engine and give it a mild treatment including 260/270 degree cam with 0.460 lift, rocker arms, heads etc 4)Exhaust 2.5" *edit 10-Jan* Got a 2.5" Lukey system fitted today with a 3.5" tip that neatly fits the hole. Very nice and very noisy. 5)Rustproof treatment 6)Airdam and headlight covers. This is a maybe as the current stock look is growing on me 7)I'm sure something will come up

Which one of you got it?
not necessarily. i had a ford capri lined up a while back from Brisbane to Sydney for around $360 with full insurance and under a tarp too. shop around. it's worth increasing the market area if you are looking for a rare car like the datto.

Happy New Year!
I know ay. I remember watching Beyond 2000 as a youngen and thinking to myself that I'll be flying cars by the time I got my license. Fat chance of that happening even in my lifetime I believe.

Photo's at last!
The 9 oclock fireworks were cancelled due to high wind and the midnight ones were cut short also due to high wind. Have to wait to next year to top the amazing show of 2000. Now those were some fireworks.

Hi Nigel. Nice car mate. I see you bought it from Rockdale. I know that area well as I live near there. I've just recently bought myself a 240 as well and I'm loving it. Do you ever go out cruising into the city or thereabouts? If you do I'd love to meet up with you one night. I'll pm you my mobile number if you are interested.

Interior after first clean
Thanks Raven. I don't know what you mean by bar but everything is standard in that picture including the pin stripe that runs across the door and the handle that's missing the plastic ends. Hope that answers your question.

Insanity at its finest!
I propose we all chip in some change to buy it and take it off the road.

Z production dates
Thanks Alan:classic: Sorry this is off topic but... Would I be right to assume that an auto model would be much rarer than the common manual variation therefore more valuable to collectors? Also, this is a big ask and I don't expect an answer but would anyone know how many autos out of the 3000 total entered Australia? An educated guess maybe? /Looks at Alan :cheeky:

Z production dates
Now I'm a bit confused My VIN is HS30 100243 and by the looks of it it has an extra number in it compared to Ricks. Build date is 11/72 so am I then to conclude that so many of these cars were built that they had to add an extra number in their VIN's? Also, mine started it's life as an automatic. I presume the VIN doesn't tell you this. I haven't had a look but does the comp plate contain this information? Thanks

Crash Blam Kablouy
