Rota RB Rims Fitment Question
There is no proplem with the front cap, as Arne posted, i have 16x7 +4 on my car, no fit problems at all. I would go for the 205/55 on the front wheels to avoid any rub issues:-)

Need Real Euro Taillights

Need Real Euro Taillights
Hi again Devin, Here`s what i did with my car prior to registration in Norway, -Headlamps changed to A4 with parkinglights. -Rewired front turnsignals so that they only works as turnsignals. -Blinded the rear sidemarkers. (made blinders cut out of a mousepad to fit into the frames on the rear sidemarkers, then removed them shortly after registration) The more original the car is, the better. Period correct accessories, like spoilers, wheels ...etc is no problems. If the car is modified you might run into difficulties, they will ask you to document the modifications.

Need Real Euro Taillights
Hi Devin, Had my 71`240z registered in Norway last year, no comments on the taillights all. the car will be registered with the red turn signals as long as it was delivered with these in the country it was imported from. I had to change my headlights to H4 lamps and blind the rear side marker/turnsignal thats all. You will get no problems with the US taillights.

Hei Stian, You do not have to convert the taillights to Euro mod, my car, also a 1971 US mod, had no problem at Biltilsynet.

Vto/Bre Lemans Wheels 16x7?
These wheels in 16x7 would look great on a Z. Does anyone know if they will be produced in that size?

Was not that satisfied with the gunmetal Rota Wheels, so last week i had the wheels painted, gave the car a more "classic" look. The car will go to winterstorage during next week, but it has been a great Z Year for me.

Scarab # 154 has left the US

Heater fan (blower) does not work...
Thank you, Blue! This is great, sure it will help me a lot. Guess i have to start at the ignition switch. Everything else seems to be ok.

Heater fan (blower) does not work...
Last sunday the heater fan (blower) stopped working, all suddenly. (240z, 7/71) Have checked all the fuses, both in the fusebox and the in-line fuses and they are all working. There is no power on the switch, and there is no power on either sides of the in-line fuses (should be on one side if the fuse where blown). So...the question is, where do i find the main power wiring to the heatersystem ?, can`t find it in any wiring diagrams ( the heater section is not there at all!!).

steering rack moves
Have the same issue on my car, can only find Polyurethane bushings for sale, not rubber bushings...anyone knows where to find rubber bushings? or will the polyurethan bushings do the job as well as the rubber bushings?

Thanks Mike, nice header graphic...me like Guess i was lucky buying Arne's former Z, the car is what i was looking for, a well kept, good documented (helped me a lot making the desicion to buy this car among others) low milage original car, with moderate upgrades. The wheels are Rota Rb 7x16 +4 with 205/55 Pirelli P6000 tires. This Website is a great resource for all classic Z owners, i realy enjoy going trough the different sections, and have found a lot of info and pictures about my car in many of them as well. Keep up the good work! Terje

Small update from Norway, Had the car registered the week before easter, with no remarks!! Was lucky to get a time correct numberplate from 1971 with a personal touch...DA 40865, DA 40..(Datsun 240) 865...(month and year i was born) Yesterday i did the front suspension, Tie Rod ends and Lower Ball Bearings were changed as they were showing their age.(done in 2 1/2 hour) The front suspension is now tight, will consider changing the sway bar links and compression rod bushings as well. The car runs great, draws attention and gives me a lot of pleasure.

Thanks Arne, Until last wednesday i only had the chance to look at pictures of the car. (from your website, and several pictures on this site) I have never bought a car this way before..... never seen the car in person, dealing with a total stranger, take the car for a testride...so for me it was also a huge relief that the car arrived safely and that the car was as nice as the pictures shows. Now that i have been able to see the car, starting it, checking it, sitting in it...i just has to say that i am very satisfied.

Finally the car arrived in Oslo, picked it up and had her washed and cleaned after it`s long journey. Thanks again Arne, the car is very nice ;-) As you see from the pictures, driving condicions for a 240Z is not ideal, guess i have to wait another 2-3 month until i can take it for a ride. Here`s the car washed up and ready for winterstorage.
