Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Wiring Harness Terminals And Rubber Covers
Something like this might work: http://www.repairconnector.com/products/GM-Single-Wire-Coolant-Temperature-Sender-Connector.html It's not original but similar. I'll keep looking.

Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Wiring Harness Terminals And Rubber Covers
Thanks, I actually bought all the fuel tank section grommets from Mike. I emailed him to about the boot. In this website it states the alternator boot, which might be much bigger than this. Thanks, i'll try this. Also can I clean the wiring with laquer thinner? I want to unwrap the whole harness and clean each wire. Thanks, that's a pretty good idea. Mine's aren't that bad, but I just want to have a backup just in case. Thanks, the boots and terminals look to be in good shape, just rock hard . On another note, I am pretty sure I saw this type of connector and rubber cap on another "newer" vehicle, i'll research and see what I find.

Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Wiring Harness Terminals And Rubber Covers
Hello everyone, looking to see where I can purchase the terminals and rubber covers for the fuel sending unit wiring. Mines are as hard as a rock. Thanks!

Harness rebuild general consensus
I am assuming the dry wire tape, has some adhesive in it?

Fuel line clamps
I see the, Constant-Tension Spring-Band Hose and Tube Clamps. There is a double ring clamp but not in the small sizes.

Fuel line clamps
I also prefer the OE style but no luck on finding bulk outside of Nissan. It's a real pain buying a clamp at a time, would rather just have a kit.

Fuel line clamps
Ok, this should work. I am trying to find a vendor that sells kits instead of buying piece by piece. I tried looking around but no luck.

Harness rebuild general consensus
Hello everyone, looking to tackle the wiring harness soon. What is the general consensus on "refreshing" the harness? I was going to do the following: 1. extract the pins from the connector unless its a bullet or single terminal. 2. remove the terminal without cutting the wire with plier or similar tool. 3. possibly dip in warm water and baking soda to remove oxidation, then use Emory cloth to sand the wire down, if wire is shot then add a piece of wire and shrink wrap(what is the best solution here)? 4. clamp in new pins. 5. clean the connector housing with warm water, a brush and degreaser or electrical cleaner. 6. install the connecter into the new pins and apply some di-electric grease. Then finally check for continuity. thx!

Fuel line clamps
Since I'm not restoring the Z to concours level, would these fuel line clamps be equal or better than the OE clamps? Just want to make sure! http://www.ebay.com/itm/FUEL-LINE-HOSE-CLAMPS-KIT-100-CLAMPS-ASSORTED-SIZES-/160324462453?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2554152775#ht_755wt_1122 Thanks

Hi, everyone. Unfortunately all of my buddies are busy and can't lend a helping hand to put together my Z. If there a few members near Bronx, NY to help me put together my Z, I will cover your food, gas, toll. Any help would be great!! thx Mo

Any one sell fuel hose kits for a fresh tank install?
Hello everyone, looking to put my gas tank back in and was looking for a vendor who sells the complete hose kits, including clamps. I would rather buy it at one place instead of buying searching multiple vendors. Thanks!

Advice on putting a Z back together
Thanks guys for the great advice and help. I do have the FSM and Mr. Wimbles book. The books are great unfortunately I am not sure Mr. Wimble references how to restore the bolts. I might get a tumbler and then send it off to get zinc coated. I prefer originality or as close to OEM spec as possible.

Advice on putting a Z back together
Hello everyone. I am putting together a 72 Z I bought disassembled. The PO had the car sandblasted, and then topped off with 1 coat of paint. Eveyrthing is in pieces except that it's a roller, doors and brake, and fuel lines. I wanted to start with putting the body back together but my friend suggested to get it running first which makes sense. Below is the steps I will take to bring the z back to life. -Start off with installing the fuel tank, and all accompanying hoses and vapor canister. -radiator and components. -install new seals on the engine. -check engine main bearings(PO had engine rebuilt a few years back and never ran) -new clutch and hardware -new seals on trans -install engine and trans into car. -steering column(looks like I need to install the dash first)? This project looks overwhelming and no end in sight!!

Bolt sizes?
Thank you Chas for this. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Bolt sizes?
Hi Everyone, I purchased a 72 240z project and now I'm trying to put it together. The PO has bolts all over the place and in misc bags. As of now I am installing the steering column and the radiator. I bought some bolts from Black dragon but they do now have the bolts for the steering column to the firewall, or the radiator bolts(shroud and firewall). Does anyone have a list of sizes for all the bolts? Thanks for your help!

Putting together a 240Z
Thanks. This Z is a project and a half. I cannot find any of the bolts, I did however find some on blackdragons website. The further I move forward the more bolts I have to buy . Also what would be a cost efficient way to prep the bolts I do have, I am pretty sure sending them out for yellow chromate is expensive.

Putting together a 240Z
Hi everyone, I have a 72 240z that I am putting back together. The car has the suspension put together but the steering column is not installed. I checked for the bolts from Nissan, supposedly they are available form their online catalog. I did notice the main bolts(32055-47600) on top that bolt under the dash are $67 a piece, is this true?? Are there any other sources? I am looking for automotive grade with the proper strength. thanks
