I knew it couldn't be the body lol!! That would be great, I'll PM you. Thanks!
  2. Thank you so much!! I had it just how you had it but I thought, no way can it go like this the colors are different. Also those brake wires were all the way tucked away by my speedometer, I must of not brought it down. I had to remove my tachometer and reach over and bring it down, now the brake lights work. Last thing, I jumped some connections at the headlight switch and got the headlights and the rest of the lights to come on. Everything should be good too go once I get the switches back.
  3. All wires except for the solid blue female connector(behind hvac controller) are by the Combination switch.
  4. Ok, sending my switches out next week to get rebuilt. Heres some more unknown wiring.

That's a relief that at least its straight. The bottom two corners I can't do anything with, I tried pushing the top 2 tabs but nothing. I gave up before I ruined the grill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My bottom ones aren't even close, I think my grill is all mangled up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. This sucks, I was going to buy this one since it was made in Japan. I did buy a used OE cam gear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Thank you so much!!
  12. Did you ever find out where the black green black goes to? It looks like it's to a relay but unsure which relay.
  13. I'll go over the FSM again. The black, black, green connector goes to a relay I believe. Can someone Identify it?
  14. Oh also the horn connections. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Anyone have a pic of the drivers side door light jamb switch connection, the brake light switch. And can someone tell me where this connector goes? It's green, black, black. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. No problem, would you have interior wiring photos
  17. Thank you for this. I should have stated the interior side of it, but this is very helpful also.
  18. I'm now moving onto the electrical system of my 72 Z. None of my lights work except for hazards on the left side. All my gauges work, my ammeter is always a little to the right, unsure if this is good? My voltage at the battery is 13.5 and goes up when I rev. My brake light on the cluster works when the e-brake is up. There's a few wires not connected, most of them I have figured out. I wanted to know how to keep the wires from dangling all over the place, most of my wiring is connected. Can someone upload some photos on both ends of the firewall(interior), by the steering column, center console on how the wires are tucked away? I know on the right side the wiring is held in place by a leather/vinyl wrap but everything is just a mess. Thanks!!
  19. Thanks for the photos. I definitely did not see that notch as I rotated the cam 360 degrees. It looks like my camshaft was freshly cut hence the rough edges on the side of the lobes. I'll check when I take the cam cover off.

  21. Front and rear float levels, almost 23mm. Also a video of it idling, pretty smooth. Unsure if it's charging so I had the battery maintainer on it. That's another issue to check. IMG_4515.MOV
  22. You are correct on the 42 links. The 72 fsm discusses the groove on the plate and notches on the cam they are right behind the 1,2,3 camshaft locate holes for chain stretch. No idea how to snap the pic from the fsm and upload it on my MAC lol, sorry!
  23. nice pic! Thats my distributor. Yes, the yellow wire goes to the temp sensor and the black goes to the points. I usually pull that wire if I don't want spark.
  24. Hi, Can someone show me a photo of an original 72 camshaft and cam gear. I would like to identify if my cam gear and camshaft is original. I have a feeling they aren't. My cam gear has no notch and the cam lobes have rough edging as if they were just cut or made. Thanks!
