I am thinking of fitting a Nitrous Kit to my car for more performance, what do you think? The car is quick already as I have fitted a L28 skimmed and polished the head and fitted a stage 2 cam and triple Webers and a big exhaust. But I want more BHP. Any comments?

Hi, I think they are 260z alloys I had a set on my 260z 2 seater I think they are 6j x 14 size. I think they are cool for standard alloys. Hope this helps

The car deosn't look as good as I thought it would, the trunk is I think a bad idea but probably more practicle for added room, we will have to wait and see if it's a hit when it's released on the market. I dont think it will have the same effect as the 240 had when it was lanched in the US, but hopefully it will do well and carry on the great Z tradition.

Just wondering if there are any Uk Zedders who would maybe like to form a new group in the south of the country, any views? What do you think?

Thanks everyone for your advice I think Ill road test it and adjust It as I go, that way I can feel the performance increase or drop off, and I'll start at about 35 deg at 3000 rpm. Thanks

Hi there, can anyone suggest an ignition timing for my car,it is a L28 f54 block with a skimmed P90a head stage 2 cam running triple Webers and a 280zx dizzy and a performance exhaust header, at present it's running at about 7 degrees which it seems to run ok, but is this right? and has anyone played around with the timing and got better results. Thanks

Here's some pics of my car in action this year on our zclub Great Britain club track day, It was a wicked weekend, hope you like them. The engine is a L28 f54 block with a skimmed and ported/worked P90a head stage 2 fast road cam with uprated lifters and retainers and has triple 40dcoe Webers, and also a six branch 21/2 inch exhaust. The car was only finished this year in july in time for a big show. Good luck to everyone with all your restorations you'll get there in the end..

Hi there, this goes out to anyone who can help me, I have fitted triple Webers to my L28 engine which has been modified and am looking for any suggestions on jet settings for the carbs, i think they have been setup for a 260z standard engine at present so they will be wrong, and the engine seems to over fuel on tickover. Any advice would be well appreciated

Sounds like you have a problem with voltage to the left, try checking the indicator output voltage from the switch.and comparing it with the right hand side, probably a poor contact/connection.My 73 240 has been suffering from corroded connections from the age of the wiring. Hope this helps.

A call out to anyone who knows where to get a half decent set of bumpers for my 240z,as there are no good ones left over here in the uk,( ok some but silly money $2000). Thanks
  16. Hi Atanaka, I have 2 240z both 1973 models I have driven earlier ones but found 72-73 ones to be the best (personal opinion).Rust is a big problem, areas to check are: rear wheel arches, door sills floors along both chassis rails, under front wings, along air tubes and front pillars round the rear panel,no area is really free from the dreaded tin worm so check carfully for bad repairs, always look at the car in daylight and if possible get a friend with a good idea of what to look for, to go with you. These cars are great fun to drive, I hope you find a good one. [This message has been edited by Zed2k (edited 11-21-2000).]

Thanks Timberwolf, The infomation I requested was for my friends low rider, because he blew it up at 110 mph oops, now wants another engine and I have a L26 block but he wants to use his original head, N42, As for my own engine I am building a L28 82 model year engine, with a compression ratio of 9.8:1 and using a P90a head with stage 3 camshaft and triple webbers and 6 branch header, at present using standard fuel pump/going to electric soon. This engine should be finished hopefully before christmas Thanks for the help.
