As with any type of car that is 40 years old, the car needs to be well sorted to be reliable, the bonus with the S30 is they are relitively easy and in expensive to fix. Fun factor for the dollar is second to none, and the people associated with the S30 are a great and extremely helpful.
  3. Welcome, though I can't answer your question directly, If you search the arcives the answer is in there. Good luck with the swap!
  4. This z community is just like a family, and we have all had one those days, weeks or even years. Glad to see you were able to work it out, diplomacy prevails. You are a wealth of knowledge and inovative ideas, which you are quick to share with others in the community. I always read your threads and posts as I am sure to learn something. Thanks for sticking around. Brad
  5. Good luck Once you get it installed it is a good idea to keep a spare set of points in the glove box, just incase the electronic ignition leaves you stranded on the side of the road. They give no warning when they decied to go bad. That way you put the points back in and your good to go again. Let us know how it goes and if you notice the difference

Abeautiful Z, California sun and twisty roads, you are a lucky man ! Only 2 more months of winter here if we are lucky. Very jealous !
  7. My short was caused by a screw mounting the rear speaker behind the back side panel, someone had used a longer drywall screw to mount it, and had gone through the tail light wiring harness. After the basics it is usually something that man has touched that goes wrong. Start tracing, you will find the cause.

I have never heard of them or used their product ....but the phrase "you get what you pay for" will surely apply, especially with seat vinyl IMHO

If I was closer I'd take them off your hands. We are planning on moving back to Victoria sometime this year( went to Oak bay high school back in the mid 80s) Really miss crusing the water front and meeting up at Clover point. Is Speedline performance still open in Victoria? They used to be the z place back then.

That is the way I fell about mine right now, but all it really needs is a good clean an buff. Except for the paint which is toast from Las Vegas sun. I am the 2nd owner on title 78000mi, car was parked in 91 because it did not pass emissions in California. Every thing is very well preserved (rubber will all be replaced) Thanks for the info on zeddsavers I will definitely sending him my business on a couple of parts, Prices seem reasonable for the quality.
  14. I have a JCR California z body kit on my 1973, but I do not have the rear bumper for the kit. I require the rear bumper for an out of Province inspection, therefore going bumperless is not an option. Besides I prefer the look with the bumper, it balances the large whale tail IMO. Does anyone know what the bumper was made of or was it a modified 280z bumper? Any help or sugestions would be greatly apreciated
