  1. You can get a full throttle body injection system imported by these companies http://lupinusflower.ocnk.net/product-list/24 https://www.rhdjapan.com/oer-racing-sports-injection-kit-standard-type-45mm-l20-l24-l26-l28.html Fixed links Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah only reason I got new brakes was because I was my front calipers deader so I was like might as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hey Mark, You can have a rear brake; I just checked the brakes and the only difference between , you will have buy this backing plate from silver mint motors http://www.silverminemotors.com/datsun/datsun-280z/brake-kit-individual-parts/240z-260z-280z-dual-caliper-rear-wilwood-with-dedicated-cable-caliper-brackets-brake-upgrade-swap-kit And these calipers wilwood 120-120669 / 70 http://www.wilwood.com/Calipers/CaliperProd.aspx?itemno=120-12069-BK which would bee an extra 500 USD + tax and Shipping but that way you could have and brake The dimensions for the AZC and the SMM rear brakes are identical so it is an option though an expensive one. Just a thought.
  4. You could try selling yours but yeah or you might be able to adapt silver mine motor rear big brake kit with duel calipers http://www.silverminemotors.com/datsun/datsun-280z/brake-upgrades/datsun-240z-260z-280z-rear-dual-caliper-wilwood-brake-upgrade-with-dedicated-cable-handbrake-caliper-stock-cable Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. They are from Techno Toy Tuning not AZC, https://technotoytuning.com/nissan/280z/rear-big-brake-kit-240z-260z-and-280z They have had them for about 3 years now I think. don't quote me on that I'm just going off of posts I have read on hybrid Z.
  6. oooh shiny!!! wheee! I bet you would like a look at the TTT hand brake solution, though I think they get them from a British company that modifies wildwood brakes. but the back brakes calipers are considerably smaller than the front.
  7. hmm I do have a friend from church with one. But now that I think about it what I do need is a machine shop so that I can have my spindle pins pressed out. I think it will be cheaper than the damage done to my psyche and heart from the frustration of getting them out myself. But anyways the coil overs and the brakes are really nice, Can't wait to get them put on but I do have to buy a few more tools and fluids before I get started. its kinda crazy how light the wildwood calipers are though, only about a 4 lb. for each front caliper and maybe 2 lb. for each rear caliper.
  8. Hi all, I just ordered a set of BC Racing coilers and a big brake kit from TTT. I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations on a machine shop or welder in the D.C. / northern Virginia metro area. Thanks Chris
  9. If you really want an exhaust you want your car to sound like, take your car to an exhaust shop with a mandrel bending machine and a welder. They will ask you what you want it to sound like and how loud you want it and weld exactly what you want for about $350. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hi awesome restoration. Can you believe that some people say that real men don't bake? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The off the shelf systems are nice but you can have a custom stainless steel Exhaust from the header back made for less. I paid $350 for mine and it's a quiet when I'm puttering around and then a loud sporty roar at wide open throttle. And best of all it was made to fit my car exactly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. For a replacement fuel tank call over to the datsunstore.com and check if they have any Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. http://www.datsunstore.com/flywheel-series-engine-with-automatic-trans-p-1486.html I find when none of the other parts stores have the part you are looking for Oliver does or knows where to get them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. If the spared no expense in restoring the car then yes. I read a story the other day a guy spent 120k restoring a 240z. It was laser measured to make sure it was as close to strait as possible. They also used some sort of magnetic field measurement to find all of the rust. But that car looks like they are just trying to see how much someone is willing to pay. 15. Yes but does it look as sexy as this http://image.superstreetonline.com/f/33803633+w+h+q80+re0+cr1/modp-1111-02%2b1972-datsun-240z%2bsteering-wheel.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I think it's more like 2" because the the camaro shock towers look like they are twice the radius of the z shock towers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yes they are fools that is why people watch them. Strangely competent and skilled people doing things the right way rarely make for interesting viewing. I did some research and the 5th generation camaro is about 40" from shock tower to shock tower. So the LFX engine must be less than that. The 240z is about 36" shock tower to shock tower. The problems I see is is having to move the turbo to clear some thins. Which would require custom headers. Also the steering column would need to be modified to clear the engine. It would be a tight fit. but I don't think it would be worth the money to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Just give they guys a call and see how much they are willing budge on the price, when I bought my Z I talked the guy down 2k in hindsight I should have talked him down another $700 but well. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/cto/5274400361.html I bet that guy would come down $1200 just to see the car gone. 19. Forums* I should stop using tapatalk I don't check spelling on my phone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Search craigslist and other zcar forms and I would be very surprised if you don't find another workable car in 6 months Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I spoke without doing my research it was 3.4L v6 and transition from a Chevy c10 truck Here is the Video of it in the care http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WcjC00J8FaM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I think the 240z imitation wood steering wheel is best. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. If a ls3 will fit I bet a v6 will fit. I know the guys from roadkill put a v6 from a s10 truck in a 240z Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Didn't make a decision yet. had to go down San Antonio to make repairs on some rental properties. But I found another option that I like more but I'm not sure I want to spend $300 on mirrors http://www.moto-works.jp/products/rr-mirrors.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Heat gun and a paint scraper or liquid nitrogen and a hammer if you are feeling brave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
