Blowby-too much smoke!
Crankshaft bolt not camshaft

Project Boondoggle (or, so I went and bought a Z!)
That looks great, maybe you can lift that edge and smear a thin layer of adhesive in the curve where it's pulling away? Did the vinyl as it's shrinking into place pull, bend or warp the panel in away way? This looks really promising, looking forward to the next piece. Chris

Blowby-too much smoke!
Make sure the tranny is in neutral, turn the engine clockwise from the main crankshaft bolt not the camshaft. That's clockwise from the front of the car looking back to the rear end.

Differential Help... 38311 P9000
I did the same thing, $400 ebay OBX, Rich's fix kit and my R200 3.90 diff. I took it all apart, set it up as best as I could then took it up to my local transmission/diff shop to have them do the backlash properly. I should have it back next week. If you go this route you will need the clirclips that hold the stub axles in the diff, they don't come with the OBX unit. They are still available from Nissan, the PN is 38225-N3100, they are part number #18, http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/Z-1969-1978/power-train/differential-gear/r200 Chris

rear mounted rear sway bar
Does anyone make a rear mounted rear sway bar for our Z's anymore? All I can find is MSA's combo but I'm pretty sure that is a front mounted rear bar. Once you weld in the BadDog rail extensions it's hard to find a place to mount the forward mounted bar without spacers of some kind. Thanks, Chris

KYB struts?
Are those the Stagg springs? If it is that kit got a good write up with in the last year by one of the members. KYB's are a great shock for the price and a pretty good shock if you don't abuse them, fine for the street.

PARTS NEEDED! For a labor of love!
Kira, the rear overrider bar is 59" long and about 3-4" tall, the front bar as you say is 38" long. I would sell you these but I wouldn't be doing you any favors, the shipping to Nevada would probably cost more the the bars themselves. Good luck.

I heard there were 8-Track options, but.....

Seat upgrade -350z seats
I haven't installed my 350z seats yet, you just saved me a big screw up, I would have ordered the 12" hasp like I did last time. Your right, a 6" would be more then enough if using the seat itself for the anchor point, too bad they don't offer one. I wonder if an auto upholsterer would have a sewing machine and thread that would be right for shortening that piece of seat belt?

Need Your Help!
I'd buy one. Can Tech Z, that first pic of your Z sure makes me pine for my old stomping grounds, I don't miss the rain but sure miss those mountains.

240Z Resto - 01/1970 Car
Is there a sign up list for the spindle pin tool remover yet old buddy old pal? Nice work on that tool. I made one a few years ago nothing like yours of course, destroyed it trying to get the pins out, now I take them to my local mechanic. He heats them up to glowing red and applies 50 tons of pressure.

Seat upgrade -350z seats
The retractor should mount up near the back of the side window where the shoulder pivot originally mounts. This isn't the same model but similar,http://wescoperformance.stores.yahoo.net/3pt-roadster-seatbelt-bucket-help.html

HLS30-01121 Gets A New Life
Oh you got some fun goodies there! Do yourself favor though, keep everything, don't throw away or sell anything that is original from your car. At some point in the future you may want to go back to original and you won't be able to find the stuff. I wish I had taken my own advice, now I'm looking for stuff I thought I would never use. You're going to love those triples.

sweatys rebuild
Sweaty, that was a ballsy move. I've always wanted to open up the booster but was afraid I would tear the rubber diaphragm and have to order a rebuilt one. Was there a pool of brake fluid in there? Good on you, I might give that try now, looks pretty simple in there. Chris

Side Window Quandary - What is the 'duck-shaped' metal piece?
I don't think Nissan started including that piece until 71, it wasn't on my car. I assumed it was just some extra support for the glass but the anti slim jim is an interesting idea and has some merit.

Too many holes for emblem
I doubt an owner would ever make a mistake like that but some quicky paint and body shop in the last 45 years probably could.
