You are, all I did is quote what you said, read it again, your the one enjoying others pain and fear. Then why prep? Your cowardice is none of my concern, but your self righteous smugness is. In a crisis situation it's never a good idea to try and infect others with your cynicism. I hope you're the last one standing, you can pat yourself back.

I don't need saving, if I catch it I catch it and regardless of all your prepping, you are going to catch it too. We are all on the same cruise ship together. You are not wondering about these people, you're gloating about their pain and fear because you're prepped and they are not. Fine, accept it. Just stop enjoying it so much.

My excuse for not being prepared is that I wouldn't want to appear righteous and smug.

@Av8ferg, that is refreshing to hear, I think the majority of us understand that for the most part all governments are self serving, right or left wing, 4 yrs then 4yrs... The thing that concerns me is the shape of the world economy, not getting the sniffles. Tens of millions of people live pay cheque to pay cheque and also carry large debt loads, no amount of tax funded "emergency benefits/loans" are going to fix that. It seems like we are shooting ourselves in the foot. Here is an interesting read, https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/coronavirus-covid-pandemic-response-scientists-1.5502423

oh oh, I'm dead for sure.? ? ? I would like to talk about the mortality rate, I have read that it is anywhere from less than 1% to 3.4% but the more people you test the lower the mortality percentage gets. Apparently most people only get mild symptoms and nothing more, if you only have mild symptoms the hospitals aren't going waste one of their scarce test kits on you. So anyway you look at it the numbers are skewed. Testing goes to people who are presenting as sick, what about the people that aren't? If it ever comes out I suspect the actual mortality rate from this virus isn't going to be much higher than that of the day to day flu that we all know and love.

The only way to build immunity is to go out and catch it?

Snow rollers, that is a quite a rare event, the conditions have to be perfect. Brisk wind, light but packable snow, temp. hovering just above freezing, I've never seen it in person. Very cool.

That sounds like an interesting swap, you will probably get more help on https://forums.hybridz.org/ It is a forum dedicated to Z cars with major modifications.

No, that housing and fan motor aren't stock to your 260z, I have no experience with the Kia unit, looks like a PO threw your stock fan housing away.

I just got back from Utah a couple of hrs ago, was doing some hiking in the canyons. On the way back to Las Vegas this morning to fly out there was a guy on the main Hwy holding a big sign saying FEAR NOT. Cars were honking with approval. I swear some people seem to enjoy panicking.
  11. No brass on the filters is my vote. Looking very clean.

What Dave said ^ I'm thinking it's either the heater valve itself or the stiff wire that actuates it.
  13. Having a center screw through the middle was the only way I could make it work.
  14. I would warm up the seal, lube it and the body, then when you insert the window try to get an awl in both top and bottom holes at the back and draw the window in, a second pairs of hands can set a screw in the top and bottom hole in the front and push the window in from the outside at the same time.

Sounds like a vacuum leak in the booster, unmetered air is coming in from the booster that the Air Flow Meter, AFM doesn't know about and can't compensate for. There some experts here that can walk you through the process.
  17. Try and find a long screw driver, pry bar, steel rod, something that you can use to pry between suspension parts to see if there is any slop or movement. When you have the car up on jack stands you may not be able to find a problem just by using your hand, a little extra leverage can help. It could just be that your shocks are worn out and need replacing. Post some pics if you can.
  18. Big milestone today, the exhaust system is finished and installed now which allowed me to move along with installation of the heat shields, coolant pressure container and finish up the engine bay electrical. The rad support crossover got some filler, primer, colour and 2 coats of clear today so the rad and oil cooler can go in now, just waiting on one more fitting for the new fuel system and I think I will be ready to turn the key! Of course then I will spent the following week trying to track down why it won't start, that's my usual MO.
  19. Bruce, is this what you are thinking about?
  20. I'm no electrical guru but that kind of sounds like the wires to the seat sensor that lights up the Fasten Seat Belts indicator.
  21. Good results and welcome to the forum. Now lets see the car! ?
  22. Sounds interesting but implying sandblasting is environmentally unfriendly is a bit of a stretch I think.
  23. I'll find out tomorrow morning when I take it out for a drive.
  24. No it is the stock rad.
