Anyone knows if transmission fluid could be a issue with shifting? At the time they don't have 75-90 so I use some 80-90 none syn.?

L28 is toasting my 240z clutch
I give that a try! I also adjust the rod on my slave cylinder, I had adjust it forward all the way and backward all the way but still wouldn't go into gear. Ok I remember when I install my new pressure plate it's seen to be a little thinner I believe, but not that difference. So I don't know if I got the right pressure plate or I just need to bleed it more and adjust the master rod? Im about to get a 280z tran with the fork and release bearing at the junkyard and replace it to see if that works! ( I don't know if I could use a 280z slave with none adjustable rod and replace it with the adjustable rod slave)? Any help thanks!!!

Clutch goes to floor, not engaging.
Sorry to jump in like this! I need Help! I've done researching but can not fix my problem! I have a 71 240z with a 280z 5 speed tran. I've parked the car for couple of days and decided to take it for a drive. I came home and park the car for a few hours and jump in the car again but this time I can't shift to any gear while the car's running. I turn off the car and it shift perfect. I have check for leaks, check Master cylinder, check slave cylinder and when I push the clutch pedal the slave move the clutch fork but still can't shift. Anyone have any suggestion to solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

OK! I have fix the issue! It was the alternator! The previous owner wire it wrong and it did't charge my battery so the car was only running on battery with nothing charging it. With that issue! My MSD ignition set didn't have enough juice to run properly. Thanks to all ya help! Now if anyone can tell me where's the idle screw for the Mikunis? so i can do my timing or can i just have someone rev it to 3000rpm?
