What type of wheels are these?
0 to 10 is preferred I believe. If you go negative, it will work but wheels will poke out of your wheel wells and you might have some rubbing on bumps or if lower the car

Slammed 260z from Holland
I think is the first 2+2 that I like. I wonder if it would look good if you were able to hide the b pillar somehow. Amazing work. Keep up the progress

$1,000 reward for this rim !!!!!
those look very nice, my car came with a set of the narrower wheels that you do not want. Still good looking wheels. Do you know what's the width of the ones you are looking for? Seems like they are running 195/75/14, not much different from my 195/70s. Good luck

Back in a Z
Hi, Name is Michal, most just call me Mike thou. I have been addicted to Zs ever since I was 14 and saw my first s30. I later learned to drive on that car which just sealed the deal on how much I wanted the car! I had a few Zs in my past most notably a 77 280z that was restored by a guy in Little Rock, AR. That car had a Rebello racing 3.1L stroker with triple mikuni carburetors, it was an amazing car. However, I was always bugged by the fact that it was another guy that built it, and even thou it was great, it never really felt like it was my car. I sold it to a buddy of mine and regretted it ever since. That was 4 years ago. Today I am about to graduate college, I finally secured a good steady paying job, and will be able to afford my Z. Hastily I started looking on craigslist until I found a 70 series I 240z. I drive out to see it, and it looks rough, doesn't run or drive, new floor has been welded in, but the welder must have been drunk, as there are only 2 sides of each floor pan "tacked" in place, no beads ... anyway not going to rant. It's a 70 thou and not only that, the VIN number is HLS30 - 00655, I had to have it. After working out an awesome deal with the previous owner, who was a great guy, and told me everything he knew, I trailered the car home. So yet again, I am a proud owner of a money pit, that will make me happier than any one thing can! Thanks for reading and I look forward to reading and learning from the people on this forum. Pics to come as soon as it will make it out of the carport under it's own power!

[2012] What did you do to/with your S30 today?
not today but over the last week, I adjusted my valves, rebuilt both the SUs, changed the oil in the engine and transmission, replace flexible clutch hose and clutch master cylinder, and replaced the battery, perhaps today I might try to crank her up and maybe even take it around a block.

70 center console restoration
ahh thats what's it suppose to look like!!! very niece job, if i strip mine, it will most definitely ruin the factory finish, so i'm just hoping for smooth satin black finish. I took a few pics to show you what I'm dealing with. I am going to get the stripper tonight and will update the thread as I go. Just looking at these pictures makes me sad about my interior, but I got the car 3 weeks ago, and it's going to be years before it's to a point where I'll be happy with it.

70 center console restoration
The center console is definitely fiberglass. There is a small crack that shows the inidividual fibers sticking out. Tried to take a picture but don't know how to post pics from my phone yet. I can't justify spending 100+ dollars if I can just strip this one. If I fail miserably than I'll just swallow my pride and purchase a new one, but it doesn't hurt to try. It's not the first time I worked with composites. Last year I was a lead on a project that custom designed and build a carbon fiber hood for a Saturn Vue ( I didn't get to choose the car)

70 center console restoration
Never thought of using easy off, only the 1970-71 center consoles were made from fiberglass, since 72 they were made from abs plastic. The approach that if it's already broke, don't worry about it will have to work, I will go by aircraft stripper that's safe for composites and see what will happen.

70 center console restoration
well I don't know for sure that it is bed liner, just looks like it, I believe the previous owner called it textured paint. and there are spots where it's peeling up

70 center console restoration
So, I recently acquired a 1970 Z. The previous owner decided, for some strange reason, to paint the center console with what looks like bed liner. In short, it looks pretty horrible, I was wondering if anyone knew how I could strip the paint without damaging the fiberglass console. I'd rather not have to buy a new one. Also after stripping the paint, what would be my best bet at restoring the factory finish on the console. Thanks for any info.
