Throttle Jerk Fix -- Universal throttle cable
I finally posted a write up and pictures of my throttle linkage replacement with a Mr Gasket universal cable. The results are great, and the key was the throttle arm that I was able to source from speedway motors. Enjoy! Dave's 1972 Datsun 240z: Throttle Jerk Fix

Good news!! Floats for Hitachis have been sourced.
Do we have a timeline of when to expect these new floats (weeks/months/years)? I'll certainly purchase a new set as well.

Bar's stop leak....
I've used these products in the past. It seems like its hit or miss, and I probably would not use it again. I have had it congeal in the radiator in my Wrangler & it became an even bigger mess when I went to replace the head gasket. If the car is something you're going to keep for a long time, it'll be worth planning for replacing the head gasket/radiator and flushing the entire system. The longer this goop sits in the engine, the more likely it'll get stuck in the cracks & crevasses.

Looking for a set of N27 Needles
I'm looking for a set of N27 needles to replace my smogger N58's that I have in my 1972 roundtops. I have a set of SM needles from ZT, but I'm concerned that I'll be running too rich with my stock setup. Does anyone have a set they're looking to part with?

Any floats yet?
As many british floats are still available for SU's, I'm going to start exploring the opportunity of swapping float bowls. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Miata (Mx5) Seats
Just wanted to provide a brief update on my experience with installing Miata Seats in my '72 240z. I ended up fabricating custom mounts and did not use the slider rails. Check my blog out for pictures: Dave's 1972 Datsun 240z: Miata Seats Installed

Bad Exhaust Smell !!!
Here's my writeup, including a lot of useful pictures I've run across over the years from fellow members, of how to replace the vent tubes. Don't get too overwhelmed by the spiderweb of hoses, once you drop the tank it becomes easier to see how/where they all connect. Dave's 1972 Datsun 240z: Smelly Situation

removed drivers seat and fit brackets and temporary drivers seat
What's the trick for attaching/removing the rear bolts? I seem to have quite a hard time with reaching from behind & under the seat to access the bolts. Any suggestions or words of wisdom would be appreciated!!

Passenger seat w/o slider
How were the passenger seats of the early 240z's attached to the seat mounts? Was there some from of fixed rail that the seat bolted to & that bolted to the unibody? I'm thinking of removing the sliders from my Miata seats in an effort to lower them to allow for greater comfort without cutting out the existing brackets.
