  2. Email it to me and I'll host it.

I may be interested in that oil pan set up if you can send me pix of it once you have it removed.
  4. What are you stlling the choke set up for? I'm sure many in the US would like to know.

Anyone else notice that the winner is the same guy as is selling the NOS dash for $1600+ and the highest VIN 1970 240Z ever (per the discussions here and his auction)? Interesting!

No mention of POR-15 yet? I was planning on using POR-15 on the under side of the car and engine compartment. Thoughts on that?
  7. That's called grease by the rest of the world!

Wolf Creek is great stuff the the owner is a wonderful person to work with. That's where I got my set of triple Miluni 44s from.
  9. Man that's bad!!!
  10. ??? Why ???
  11. Steve, I saw that as well and did the math, that's like $266/car for 30 cars. If only.... I asked him about early cars (series I) and he replied that he has the shell of 69 and wants $3500 for it. Can you believe that price!? For a shell...no way, all the value of a low VIN is gone at this point...it will NEVER be a numbers matching car again. I pretty much told him this and am just waiting on his reply.
  12. We are all friends here. We have pretty much all already posted pix of our cars. We have a passion for these autos and love to see all of them we can no matter what someone may have done to it. In the end it's your car, do as you like. Now if it's a low VIN or even a 240 you will catch some flack if it's been completely hacked, a 260 or 280 not so much so. Reason being is that the 240 is the rarest of the bunch, it's classified as a classic, and the most sought after and valuable...yes, the 260 is also in scarce numbers it's just not as desireable by the masses. Just post the pix already, then you'll no longer be asked for them. Have some pride in your car...even if it's not a show queen it's alright...just look at the condition of some of the ones we own.

I wish it was me. My wife was laughing at me chatting it up with the Italian valet about the car. She's so tolerant. The valet said it's $150k car and when he first saw it he thought Aston.
  14. [TO BE EDITED] The kind of crap surfsnake2 is pulling is the kind of thing I expect at zcar which is exactly why I don't go to that site any longer...lots of immature childish members. It's RARE to find this kind of thing on this site which is one reason I like it here. Let's pretend like you already bought them! Jerk. Don't play games with us. Oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we set to deceive... Ok, so you thought that the price was unreasonable you buy them and then mark them up 10x, so what would you call your price...prison gang rape! If you only discuss money with family, and clearly you don't consider us family by your actions, why did you ask us for a price...that's discussing money. Hypocrite!! Interesting since the auction ended before this thread was started. Why the lies? Why the convoluted stories...a friend of a friend garbage? Just come out with it and be honest. Members on this site and others (yes, I read the thread on hybridz also) are quite savvy and we do watch and discuss eBay auctions all the time. It's hard to pull a fast one with us, especially when you flaunt it in our faces. You're right, nobody has to like you to buy something from you that they want....although most people will not do business with someone they dislike or distrust and that's exactly the reputation you have created for your self. So yes, you have received much advertising...just not the kind you really wanted. WTF? You can't be serious! clearly you don't understand the analogy...or perhaps you are just attempting to make a joke. Are you talking about reddat (or something like that) from Houston? If so he's another crook, I've dealt with him a few years ago unfortunately. Only 3 left? Really? I'm sure you can "explain" this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280262252676&rd=1 More lies. Oh, and in all his time and posts on this club Will has been a solid contributor!! You on the other hand have been...well...crap. Seriously man, have you gone back and read your posts? You sound like a complete idiot. I agree with others, making a profit is one thing...misleading and lying about things to profit from the less knowledgeable is unacceptable. You are knowingly clouding the facts in your auction!! As with Will, all I know of you is what I have read today right here, and it's a very unflattering picture of you (in your high school English class today ask your teacher to teach you how to properly capitalize and punctuate)...I've got to echo the other's opinions of you, you're self-centered childish arse. I'd like to nominate you for being banned from this site.

Aaahhhhh.......thank you for that clip!!! I saw one of these up close and personal on 8/9 when attending a wedding at a local downtown hotel....BEAUTIFUL CAR!!! It was even silver just like the one in the clip.

I'm curious what the price was...

I agree, very intriguing!! As for pressing the zoning issue et al...this is perfectly valid, though a bit dodgy as mentioned. It's nothing I was not already thinking of, nor is it a tactic I have not considered when after purchasing a deteriorating house in an upscale neighborhood where I live. I'd have been doing the neighbornood a favor by buying the house and fixing it up. Fun-in-my-z... I think you're just a bit defensive because you have had people complain about your parents place so it's a littl close to home for you. Bottom line, if zoning (or lack of permits, etc) does not allow it you ARE in violation of the law and should rightfully get in trouble. If you don't like hearing this...well tough. I speed, I get a ticket...I should have since I was breaking the law no matter what I think of that law right? Now odds are that there's no restriction where you live on your 40ac. I guarantee there is where this lot is located!!

You're building a street car right? I'd keep the spare! I don't see any advantage to removing the spare tire well and all the other work associated with it. Yours has no rust...keep it right where it is. Just my 2 cents.
  19. I don't remember off hand other than it was POR-15. I could look over the weekend if that would help you.
  20. Here's a link to a pic of mine before the work was started (when I looked at this car to buy it there was 2" of standing water in the tire well due to a leaky hatch seal): Ugliness before fixing Here's a link to a couple pix of mine after I completed it: Beautiful tire well after repairs completed
  21. I used POR Putty to fill in the holes, sanded it all down, then used POR-15 products over the area.
  22. texasz replied to clindayag1's post in a topic in Open Discussions
Very nicely done!! I'd consider buying one!
  23. Looks like you've got a lot of my stuff on there as well. I do not remember since it's been a few years...did we exchange data? We should!
  24. What is the head on the '71? Interested in selling just the head with valve cover from this car and shipping to Texas?

Not quite on the 3.9 in the truck...do a search and you should find some posts with these answeres. I do not remember exact years off hand at the moment though do know that the 3.9 was only in the truck for 6 months before going to the 4.11 (it was the first 1/2 of a year, I just do not recall the year). I have one in storage and next time I'm in the area of the diff I'l see if I can pull the year off it from where the junk yard labeled it.
