  1. If you end up deciding that you need one please let me know as I believe I have one that I can remove for you (I have two parts cars and I think that this part is good on one if not both of them, would have to go out to where they are stored to verify this).
  2. Here's a pic of a car I had last year. This was a cable that went from the gas peddle to the carb. Keep in mind that this was a 4bbl conversion and that it may not be exactly what you are after; it should at least give you the basic idea. This is a HUGE pic/file so if you are a dial up you may not want to open it, on a fast connection it will still take about 1 minute (maybe more) to fully load. http://www.pape.ws/gallery/album15/aao?full=1

  4. I remember hearing about this! I think it may have been discussed on this site some time back.
  5. Steve, I'm not quite sure I follow. You want to see pix of how the throttle connects to the carbs from the gas peddle? For what specific application (stock SUs, 4bbl, triple carb set up, etc)?

Glad to see that you found your way over here!! In short order I see that some of our Z experts have already posted some info. I knew that people on this forum would have something to share with you! And of course welcome!!!

And I'm curious why this matters? Do you just want to know or are you trying to locate a specific part for you car, or what? I do know that the MANY differences of the early (first gen) Z cars have been discussed over and over again on this and many other sites. It's a very long list of differences...even just between different years of the same model such as the series I and series II 240Z as mentioned above. Whew! My head is starting to spin thinking of all the possible differences again...
  8. What, no bids!?!? The hell you say! I can't believe that nobody jumped on that awsome Buy It Now price, what a deal it would have been!!!!!!!!!!!1 .
  9. You are right about the later model ones being easier to find! The only difference that I know of is some of the wires on the later ones are longer than on the early ones. May be other differences that I'm unaware of and I'm certain that if that's the case someone else here will chime in.
  10. Hmmm...I thought I was first...darn it, 71DatsunZ must have emailed/PM'd you before I posted to the thread. I'll be waiting to hear if he backs out or not.
  11. Carfax will not work for anything not having a 17 digit VIN, period, no exceptions. Even then if you have an older car with a 17 digit VIN you probably still will not find records since they are a relatively new company and those kinds of records have not been around for too long (when considering how long we have had cars on the market).
  12. I'll do that. Am I #1 on the list?
  13. I agree, you beat me to stating this.
  14. Yes, as stated I doubt that it's a 240Z based upon the tail lights alone. I did ask the seller for the VIN and will post here if I get a reply. Even has the ol' Pantera hatch conversion! Tis true, this has been up on eBay a few times before and NEVER sells for some strange reason!
  15. How much would you want for the battery tray area?
  16. There will likely be some new ideas posted here...you still should search on this question though, it was discussed at length about a year or so ago. TONS of ideas in there!!
  17. Yes, I second that!! Thank you!!
  18. I greatly respect your opinion as I know what you have been able to do with your Z car. Would you mind taking a look at the first page of that pdf and tell me what you think about what Todd has done to set up my carbs? I know that he is very knowledgable in this area also and would just like to see how what he has done compares with what you have done.
  19. Ok, I got mine copied and in a pdf file. I posted this in the articles forum for all to have access to. Here's the link to it: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?p=150299#post150299 I'll also place it on my website tonight.
  20. Here's the Mikuni PHH Manual for anyone who needs it. Mikuni PHH Manual.pdf

Welcome!! Please take a minute to update your profile so that we all know where you are located. That often helps when looking for parts, a car, or a shop to perform work for you. Also take advantage of the search feature on this site. I started here about 2.5 years ago and have found this to be THE best Z car site on the web!! More smart, knowledgable, helpful people here and a TON of information! Yes, I do still frequent the other Z sites and this one is still my favorite.
  22. I would just take it to a shop (maybe even a parts store) to be tested...most will do it for free.
  23. I can probably dig mine up and copy it for you. Likely will not be until next week though (have to find it over the weekend then copy/scan it next week at work).
