  1. How much would you want for the battery tray area?
  2. There will likely be some new ideas posted here...you still should search on this question though, it was discussed at length about a year or so ago. TONS of ideas in there!!
  3. Yes, I second that!! Thank you!!
  4. I greatly respect your opinion as I know what you have been able to do with your Z car. Would you mind taking a look at the first page of that pdf and tell me what you think about what Todd has done to set up my carbs? I know that he is very knowledgable in this area also and would just like to see how what he has done compares with what you have done.
  5. Ok, I got mine copied and in a pdf file. I posted this in the articles forum for all to have access to. Here's the link to it: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?p=150299#post150299 I'll also place it on my website tonight.

Welcome!! Please take a minute to update your profile so that we all know where you are located. That often helps when looking for parts, a car, or a shop to perform work for you. Also take advantage of the search feature on this site. I started here about 2.5 years ago and have found this to be THE best Z car site on the web!! More smart, knowledgable, helpful people here and a TON of information! Yes, I do still frequent the other Z sites and this one is still my favorite.

I would just take it to a shop (maybe even a parts store) to be tested...most will do it for free.
  9. I can probably dig mine up and copy it for you. Likely will not be until next week though (have to find it over the weekend then copy/scan it next week at work).

They had these here in the US also, a friend of mine had a nice '70s green one.

There's a guy in your neck of the woods who deals in Z parts, I do not remember his name, the company name, the phone number, nor an email. I'm sorry about that but I bet if you continue your search you will turn him up.

    Check out these guys: http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/240z.html http://www.kitcarz.com/ http://www.gtorr.com/
  14. I'm very interested to see what this developes in to! I like the idea of one file and being able to do more calculations. I also like the idea of part numbers and prices...however prices change often enough that maintaining this would be a headache.

I do not belive that it's a problem with Michael's site, I just accessed it with no problems. Michael, do you have a static IP address or dynamic? montoya, have you ever been able to access it and your access is just irratic?
  16. Got more details on the car (pix, VIN, condition other than rusty, details about the rust, etc)?
  17. Call Jerry over at All Z Car Specialist, he will have a hood and fender for you. Just look him up in the Ft. Worth Yellow Pages.

Please do a quick search...this has been discussed in GREAT depth a couple times and there is already a lot of good information on the subject. Makes for interesting reading.

Right you are on both accounts! I have never seen a Z with this item still installed...nor have I even heard of it. Please tell me about it's purpose and the pros/cons of removing it.

No, as stated above the hand throttle connects to the gas peddle inside the car...search for some old posts detailing this out. As for your "extra" part, if you are talking about what I have highlited in the attached pic that is normal and connects to nothing.
  21. I couldn't get this video to work. Anyone have it to share? This one is cool but the quality is REALLY lacking. Does anyone have a better quality copy of this one?

Post a pic of the area you need. Let me know if one from a '75 will work and I'll let you know if I can help.
  23. Just to clarify one thing, the choke handle that Z Babe has a pic of in the post above is from a later model and not the '70-71. Correct?

The orange one appears to be fixable...the blue one is an example of what happens when car meets telephone pole. It is very sad about blue one as stated above it appears to have been very well cared for...hope everyone walked away from this one.
