  1. I would NEVER buy from this guy again!!! Just a warning to any who need a part and go looking for it on eBay. He falsely advertising items, flat out lies about what he has, refuses to provide better/more pix of the item for clarity, and then refuses to accept returns nor refund anything. I'm not so sure about that. I have a series I but am missing the set screw so I pulled the one from my '73 parts car thinking it would be an easy fix. The screw from the '73 was a larger diameter than the hole on the series I lever (the metal part that it was thread into).
  2. Try VB and/or MSA also.
  3. Do you have any info or pix on this 'upgrade'? I will be swapping diffs and if I can do anything to make future work easier I'd like to give it a shot.
  4. I second that!! I was going to stick one up on eBay and point people to it but now you've just told them how to do it themselves.

A few months back I pulled the short block and tranny from my parts car. I had already removed the head and sold it some months prior so the typical locations were not available to me for hoisting. I took a tow chain ran it through the motor mounts on each side and under the block/oil pan then attached to the hoist as you normally would. This worked great!
  6. Here's a pair in eBay now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4542170282&category=34207
  7. Mine arrived yesterday!

Can you PM or email me more information about this car please?

I agree with Vicky, download the judging forms and you should have all the information you need. However, if you still have questions please let me know as I have judged an event or two where we followed the ZCCA forms.
  13. You've got it figured out!! Just unbolt your flanges from your stock diff and attach them to the new one. Since he's selling the R180s it is a direct bolt in using your mustache bar and half shafts. I can't tell you the weight though, I bought one of these last year...maybe the year before and shipping was included in the sales price ($115 as I recall so it was a really good deal...I bought a 3.9 ratio though...but the weight is the same). I can tell you that these are not all that large but they are heavy. I'm thinking like 80lbs maybe. ???

I agree! I'm interested which bolts are important to replace with ARP also. I've been seeing some on eBay lately but not only are they pricey but the seller is not very helpful as far as what bolts are included. :disappoin
  15. Well I just grabbed his last set...the black ones with graphite in them that is. I originally wanted the red ones but after reading about the black ones the choice was VERY easy. Thanx guys for all the information!!
  16. You got a pretty good deal, I was watching those also but they went higher than I was willing to for since they had that crack and I already have a good pair and a poor spare set.
  17. While kicking around the web I just found another place: http://www.zcarsource.com/
  18. Three seconds on eBay and look what I found: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4540052489&category=34207&sspagename=WDVW Unfortunately it's the pass. side and you need the driver's side. I'm shocked that I didn't find more, it seems like they are always available...typically in pairs but still available. Looks like you're right about VB, I just checked their latest catalog and the part you need is not available through them. The gold colored MSA catalog shows them as possibly being available, you'll have to call to find out. I will warn you that new they will cost you. If you have a daily driver or about anything other than a show car you may be best going used. Since you haven't had any luck so far below is a list of Z parts sellers I have collected...this is not an exhaustive list but simply what I have, I'm certain that others on this site can add to this list. I hope that this helps! http://www.webspawner.com/users/dannysdatsuns/ http://www.zcarparts.com/ http://www.victoriabritish.com/ http://www.zbarn.com/ http://www.zparts.com/home.html http://www.zcarperformance.com/ http://www.zandzxparts.com/ http://www.modern-motorsports.com/ http://www.datsunzparts.com/start.htm http://www.baddogparts.com http://www.oem-surplus.com/nwp/
  19. I'm glad someone else started this post for me. I was looking at these also but want to know what it does NOT include that I would have to purchase separately. Can someone please help!? I want to make sure I get all the pieces I need (I plan on replacing all the bushings on the car including sway bars, etc).
  20. It's really quite the opposite! The US spec lights are available from Too Intense, MSA, VB (I think), and possibly at your local Nissan dealer. If used if good enough (new are still kinda pricey but not as bad as the Euro ones) then search eBay, they are on there ALL the time!! You may also try the classifieds on this site, hybridz, zdriver and zcar.com for used ones. They are really very easy to locate, especailly used.
  21. I'd say that's pretty specific! You can tell that from a mile away.

Check out the 3rd, 4th, and 5th pix on this page. This Scarab was at the Austin Z car show a couple years ago, I've seen it in about 4 shows since this one. http://www.pape.ws/gallery/2003_capital_z_of_texas_show?page=3

Yes Mike I do happen to know how to get ahold of the owner of that site... Bambi is right, it's my site! I do not have any intention of shutting it down...ever. It is my site, on my server, in my home, so there are no bandwidth limitations nor issues of the hosting company going under or anything like that (I have many pages on my server including my family site, photo gallery, etc so you can see why it's not going anywhere). However, if you see anything there that you want please feel free to take it or if you prefer just ask and you can have copies. ALSO, if anyone on this site has anything that they'd like to add please contact me as I'd love to increase the amount of knowledge and history on that Z page!!!

You beat me to posting this like. Thank you Tommo.
  25. The box is still sitting just inside my front door...that's how busy I've been lately...not even the time to move it to the garage. I have not opened the box either. It will be a while before I'm installing them but I will try and get the pix for you guys. Is there anything specific you are looking for?
