I have only seen a couple of these sets and they went for over $300 on eBay late last year. Very cool in my opinion, but a bit heavy for racing.

These were another popular wheel on the early Z cars.

This is the Dished Mag that many of the 240Z cars have/had on them.

This thread will serve to let everyone know what different wheels that fit on our Z cars weigh. I will start it off with the three that I have personally checked. Future people should please include the weight (w/o a tire of course), size (i.e. 14", 15", etc) and a picture of the wheel for reference.

Too bad it's rusty, if it were a solid rust free car I'd be all over it.

A few thoughts on this... I could care less if someone were to use pix I have taken for something on their own site or elsewhere. There is nothing to stop them, or anyone for that matter, from doing this. All one must do is right click on the image and select Save As, then it's on their computer. Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that your pictures are copywritten so it is not illegal either. Now what I would be irritated about and seek action against is if someone were using my pix for profit without written permission. This discussion has come up before when I announced my website. Situation was I got TONS of Z related information and pix from a couple people who contributed. Most of the stuff I did not know the origins of but there were a few items that the origin was obvious (copies of other websites like zgarage). I was informed by a member here that some pix of his were on my site. We discussed this and it turned out to be no big deal and was ok. I personally grab items I find on the web from time to time to keep in my collection because as we all know websites come and go everyday (just as an example it was discussed last year to have someone back up the zgarage site to avoid loosing all of that valuable Z related data); I will certainly give any credits that are due to anything on my site if I have the information to do so. This brings me to my next point, I do agree that credit should be given though. But again, there's no way to force this action due to the reasons stated in the first paragraph. I'm not trying to start any arguements but rather just simply stating the facts as I see them. EDIT: This is only my opinion, I have not researched this information.

Got that beat, my compression is 120/120/120/40/120/120 and she will still lay rubber to the road from a dead stop (when she's warm, when she's cold she runs awful). Amazing little cars!

Have already read that post and it just confused me more. :stupid: When I see cams listed for sale the above info is all that's availabl as far as specs go. The intake and exhaust are the same if this helps any.

Can someone help me understand what the lift and duration numbers mean? More importantly how do I compare different cams and know what their characteristics will be like? Example: Lift .441 Duration 260* Lift .460 Duration 260* Lift .480 Duration 274* How do I compare these and know which one is good for what application?

Ok, thanx for the 411 abas and bambi. The price was not a consideration for me at this point, I am just interested in the quality and strength mostly...just as you said bambi, I want the engine to stay where it belongs especially since it will have a bit more power than a stock L24.
  21. texasz replied to Luke240z's post in a topic in Engine & Drivetrain
Why do you recommend OEM mounts? Are they better than all of the aftermarket one? I have not shopped for this part yet but will be needing some soon and want to know if there is a better quality aftermarket part avialable.

  23. If you go this route don't forget that you will have to swap from the dished pistons in the turbo engine to flat-top pistons from a NA engine. With this in mind it may get more costly than you want...if you could find someone to trade even your turbo engine for an NA engine you would be ahead already. That is if you go this route...now if you were wanting the turbo then you are already ahead of the game and from the sounds of it only have to replace the turbo and begin the swap.
  24. texasz replied to jeff1216's post in a topic in Help Me !!
Nope! There are many of us that wish someone did though. Your best bet is to search the junk yards for one that is not rusted (if you're VERY lucky). Next best is to either repair what you have or have a new piece fabricated (EXPENSIVE). Sorry I couldn't have had better news for you.

I would love them but can't get up there to take them off your hands. I know a guy in FT Worth that may be interested. I'll shoot him an email right now!
