$10.000 is not enough
I got a copy of the appraisal from the guy. He had the person who did the appraisal fax it to me. Here's page 1:

Z newbie
speed = money Welcome to the club!! Seems as though you have you weight answer already. I don't know what mods you need to get you to where you want to be, would be nice to see what is needed to get there though. I thought that the '77 all had 5-speeds not 4-speeds in them? I have a '77 280Z 5-speed at home.

differences between L28 and L28et
The blocks are different also! The '81-'83 280ZX had an F54 block. I'm not sure that I'd try and put a turbo onto the 280Z engine plus you said that if you were going to do that you'd rebuild any how....just get the 280ZX turbo engine to start and you will probably be better off. Avoid the '83 though, it had a P90a head on it with hydrolic lifters and this head is generally considered junk.

P90 - F54 Turbo Setup ?
Also the non-turbos did not have the P90 head, they had the P79 head (I have one of these engines in my garage now).

$10.000 is not enough
Yes, I saw this the other day when it was lower. I think that it's getting a little obsurd, how high did the seller set the reserve!? It is a pretty car and appears to be in good condition but it is a '73 after all, the least desirable of the 240Z series.

Iron Cross Wheels
A complete set of 4 iron cross wheels for your Z car. They are accented with red paint but it is quite worn and chipped. Other than that they appear in good condition (I just got these yesterday). $100 + shipping anyone? If not then make me an offer!

allknowingbald1 Tranny is the original 4-speed. mikeg I may end up parting it out yet and if I do you are welcome to the wiring harness. I have not made the decision to part it out just yet though.

Z car event in Colorado in May?
If you're there in late May they may be having graduation ceramonies at Red Rocks. I ran into one years ago by accident, I was just there to see the place and got to see a bunch of kids graduating from some high school. I wondered why the parking lot was so busy in the middle of the day! :stupid:

Help wanted to restore a 260Z!!
Sounds a bit like Matamores (sp?) down south, across the boarder from Brownsville, Tx. Spent several spring breaks down there when I was younger.

'73 240z
Hey thanx Ernie! Those are from the day I picked it up from you. Any how, for those interested there are now pix of the car available on my website at http://www.pape.ws/gallery/Parts_Car and for those who have broadband you can download the zip file which contains all of the pix from http://www.pape.ws/hosted_pix/ but I warn you, the file is about 90meg. I'm willing to trade this car for a used car trailer! Maybe even some cash plus the car to keep the trade even.

That may be the route I have to go but I wanted to move it quickly due to an opportunity I have.

'73 240z
How much interest is there for a '73 240Z parts car? The body is quit rusty so I do not believe that there are any usable body parts (I think I'm using the hood, but not sure yet) but the drive train is entact and was running when the car was parked a couple years ago (I am keeping the carbs and intakes, fuse box and maybe the front grill). Other than that the car is entact and complete with ALL perfect glass (I hate to let the glass go), the dash is cracked just as most all of them are. The gas tank has been cleaned out and the fuel lines are new as I was told by the previous owner who is a reliable and trustworthy guy (he's a member here). Car is orange with black interior (is NOT the one in my gallery or my advitar). If people are intersted please tell me how much you would pay for it. I'm trying to raise some money to fund another 240Z. If nobody is interested or the prices are not good then I will just strip it down and part it out but I'd rather sell it whole and save the time and effort of parting it out (probably would get more by parting it out though).

Parting out a 71
SHOTIME, I sent you an email about the part I received but have not heard back from you. I got the wrong part. The valve cover I received was the "Nissan OHC" one and not the "Nissan 2400 OHC" that I bought from you. Please get back to me so that we can resolve this error and I can get the part I purchased. Thank you

Fuse Box Spray Coating
I picked up a jar of liquid black electrical tape years ago for my boat to waterproof some connections. This stuff worked just fine, you apply it with the brush that's attached to the cap of the jar.
